This is a beautiful hotel that is a serene escape from the bustle of the town. Located conveniently to the bazar and Kodaikanal International School with stunning views from the garden down the mountain to the plains. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The entire staff was so kind and helpful making sure all needs were met.
It does not provide WIFI anywhere except for the lobby. It is nice to “unplug” but a little inconvenient when trying to keep in touch with people.
room fits only 2 adults.extra person very difficult.had a good balcony view of perumal malai .wifi & room heater not available in the room.complimentary breakfast was ala carte with limited choices.they take orders & serve seperately .food for lunch&dinner were very costly& no south indian dishes available to choose.
The USP of Villa Retreat is its location. It is in a walkable distance to the bus stand, taxi stands, eateries and the Kodai Lake. But also has a great view of the Valley. We stayed in the Sun Room which had amazing view during the sun rise. The rooms were very clean. They are not so big, a bit cozy. May not be ideal if there are more than two people. Tbe restaurant service was also great with good food selection.
Villa Retreat has a beautiful little garden with stunning views over the clouds or valley below. It has very tasty food and friendly staff. It is perfectly located next to Coaker’s walk, just above Bryant Park and the lake and close to the town centre.
This is "THE BEST" place you could stay in Kodaikanal. Located in the heart of kodai..most tourist attractions are in walkable distance from the property. Sunrise view from this property looks like a dream. Complementary breakfast was very good with limited items. They have rooms in all price range. But fireplace is available only on selected rooms. Rooms were clean and tidy and smelled divine. Staffs were courteous and very helpful. Decent parking space available. Hot water supply was good. Overall a very good property which can turn your vacation memorable.
