Dev Niwas is gem of a hotel haveli in the middle of Bundi old town. A short walk or auto-rickshaw ride from Garh palace.
Our booking was managed directly by Devraj-ji Jagat, the owner of Jagat Collection of hotels. Very professional and helpful.
We (4 adults and 3 kids) arrived late on the night of 26th August (around 9 ish), driving in from Udaipur. Since there's no parking space in and around the hotel, they made arrangement for parking near the palace gate. A couple of auto-rickshaws then took our luggage and us to the hotel.
We were allotted the rooms of our choice (on the 1st floor). The rooms were well appointed, spacious, spotless and equipped with all necessary amenities.
Although the kitchen is not operational as chef's not around due to covid-19, our request for basic food was well accommodated. And the food, albeit simple, was delicious. And this was true for all our meals including breakfast.
We spent three nights at the hotel while enjoying what the town has to offer in terms of attractions, food and people interactions.
The hotel is operating with limited staff currently, but that doesn't affect the service standard. It was top class - thanks to Suraj, who ran a one man show. He cooked, gave recommendations for things to do, served food, called in laundry service, provided pinpoint directions to a petrol station, and many other things. He was ever ready...Dev Niwas is gem of a hotel haveli in the middle of Bundi old town. A short walk or auto-rickshaw ride from Garh palace.

Overall, we had a memorable experience.
P.S. There were no active Covid-19 cases in Bundi when we traveled and a simple surgical mask is enough to get byMore
