We loved this hotel! The views from the rooms and the rooftop dining area are amazing. The staff is warm and helpful. Dinner on the roof was outstanding and very romantic. The hotel is in an attentivley restored old house abutting the old fort. Our only hesitation is that there was an unpleasant smell coming from our bathroom toilet. This appeared to be something that affected only our room and hotel management was sincerely apologetic about it. [Our room was one of two adjacent to the breakfast area]. We trust and believe that management will have resolved this issue, but to be safe, you might request a different room. That way you would also avoid a bit of the early morning noise that comes with breakfast set up. Despite our misgivings about the toilet smell, we would happily stay at Bundi Vilas again. It is a charming and unique place well worth visiting.

Bundi is a charming quite magical town, a bit of forgotten India, not yet over touristed. Bundi Vilas is tucked up an alleyway and quite the hidden gem and wonderfully located for walking and exploring. The Vilas are beautifully decorated with antique furnishings, heavy ornate doors, marble bathrooms and stunning views. The staff can't do enough for you and the food is excellent. We had a couple of meals there, and in the evening we dined on the rooftop with a backdrop of Bundi Palace perfectly illuminated. The Rajasthani cuisine offered was some of the best food we had that trip and the waiters really do a great job. It was an unforgettable evening, that delicious meal with that amazing view, the rooftop decorated with candles and flowers. We absolutely loved Bundi Villas and thanks to KOKOindia for finding this great little hotel for us.

Bundi was a must to visit and did not disappoint - charming streets and alleys, shop stalls and traders, animals everywhere - all captured in time long ago.
And a steep walk up a lane to Bundi Vilas and a very warm welcome.
Up again to visit the Palace and Fort - well worth the effort for the view of the town.
Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Dinner that evening on the roof terrace immediately below the floodlit Palace was an experience to remember - not least for the food; so fresh and flavoursome - wow! Memories are made of this......

Room Tip: Room 7 - part of the 300 year old property!

This place is really neat. You will need to walk a bit to get to this hotel, as a car can not fit in the lane leading up to the hotel. But it is worth the effort.
We had a very nice room with good working AC, lots of hot water and pressure.
We had supper here, and you go all the way up to the roof. I say this as they have 2 places to eat. Once the sun goes down, up on the very top of the roof, as they have no shade there. Now once you are on the roof...the view, the view! The palace is right up there, all lit up it is awesome.
The service was excellent and so too was the food.
For breakfast you eat one floor down. There is no AC in this area, but while we were there the breeze was good. The breakfast was made to order, again with excellent service.
We loved our stay here, close to everything, the palace and just walking the streets.

Bundi is a charming country town, somewhat off-the-beaten-track, and Bundi Vilas is undoubtably one of its highlights. It is an old havali, located at the top of the town just under the palace walls. The owner, Arun, drawing on long experience in the travel and hospitality business, has tastefully converted it into a delightful boutique hotel, with some of the nicest staff we encountered in India. Dinner is another highlight, served al fresco on the roof terrace, with views across the town and of the floodlit palace rising high above: quite magical. They serve a set menu, using fresh ingredients from Arun's farm and every dish is a delight, beginning with the complimentary nibbles/starters which accompany a pre-dinner drink. Arun himself could not be more helpful, even volunteering to lend us money until we could find a working cash machine! Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 4 is quirkily characterful (and quite large), with a row of arches supported by old stone pilla...
