We stayed two nights in this place. The Building is nice and it was realy a palace some time ago. The Hotel is good located and everything is in walking distance. Garden and view on the lake beautiful. The room was
not very clean, bathroom very bad smell and almost no light. Bed dirty. The staff of the hotel is very friendly but speaks not enough English. The Complementary Breakfast was ok but not many options. coffee awful.

A rambling heritage place with antiquated decor and amenities. Al fresco dining in garden courtyard. Staff willing and enthusiastic but lacking some direction in absence of the manager apparently. Easy walk to the old city and the hugely impressive Taragarh Fort with its amazing frescoes.
It was a excellent evening spent by the sides of the Nawal Sagar Lake. The accommodation is superb , clean and up kept. The staff is friendly and Curtis. Highly recommended for Indian Food . The View from the terrace towards the fort is mesmerizing
We stayed there 5 days in November 2018. A very lovely place, the kitchen is great. So there are also guests from outside. Perfect breakfast in the garden with lake view. The cleanliness of the lake depends on the season but who is looking for swedish conditions in India ? The upper rooms have a terrace, but be aware of hungry monkeys there ! Allover, a place to recover a couple of days. Don´t miss the area above the castle. The walk to the hilltop is steep but great !
I’ve stayed here on a few seperate occasions, each time the service has been considerably worse. This time round the staff wouldn’t assist to carry luggage up three stories of stairs, so instead we had make several trips while staff stood around. Breakfast was kinda slapped down on the tables with no care and the spread was pretty sparse.
Now, the location is great, with the Fort hanging from the side of the cliffs above. It’s a short walk into a busy part of town and just around the corner from street food markets. It also right on the baoris (which look like the locals have never cleaned). It’s a great spot let down by some very inconsistent and somewhat lazy staff.
I have been there with my group.of 10 people from Switzerland and we have stay there two nights.it’s was good idea to give this hotel to my client they all were very happy and I got good feedback so I will highly recommend this place to stay and recommend to your family and friends.
