The site is under renovation and currently looks more like a building construction site. Hopefully something good will come out to pay respects to people who died!

It makes you feel for those ill fated people who had to face the wrath of a mad man. This genocide will always remain one of the most sorrowful chapter of our history.
The memorial created is definitely worth visiting and paying our tribute.

Currently, Sept 2019, it's getting renovated and all parts are not accessible, esp the well where people jumped to escape bullets.

Not much to see and the atmosphere not in keeping with horror that occurred there in April 1919. I expected more of an open space as in the Film "Gandhi"
In fairness when all is finished the site should be worth a visit. Make sure, read up on the event before entering.

Tragedy in the history of India. Heartbreaking. Fresh in my mind from my school days. You enter through the narrow entrance through which the gunners entered and shot all those who were trapped inside the area. God forgive them.
