My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as members of a conducted tour group. The room was spacious, non AC, clean, the TV worked well, bathroom was ok and service too was ok.

However, on the flip side, the hotel is situated in a very shabby and dusty area. Not a likeable location. Secondly, it is just next to a railway crossing. Locos of the trains passing by at regular interval blow their hooters every now and then. This was very disturbing and affected sleep quality.

The hotel has a small and slow lift that can carry only 3 persons at a time. The stair case is closed and used instead as a huge spittoon. This is very risky. In the event of fire, where will residents escape from? This is main reason why I have downgraded this hotel.

The State Transport bus stand is just across the hotel and can be convenient for those arriving in / departing from Junagadh.

Room Tip: Select a room as far away from railway crossing as possible.

The main purpose of this trip was to climb Mount Girnar ( a sacred place for Jains), which is right outside Junagadh.

This is a two star sort of hotel and is reasonably priced.

Room: Very clean. Surprising for a hotel of this class. Water dripped from the AC on the first night, but it worked fine after that.

Food – Good. The kitchen staff was willing to make it as per our taste. A thumbs up to them. We tasted Indian vegetarian food only.

Location – right opposite the ST bus station. It is easy to get an auto rickshaw at odd hours here.

Service – Amateurish, but more than tolerable.

Dislike – The parking is next to a garbage dump. The surroundings of the hotel are not clean.

Like – (1)free wifi. (2)The roof top restaurant was nice. A pleasant cool breeze blew regardless of the time of the day.

Room Tip: Go for the suite room. It is big and reasonably priced.

I stayed here with my family in Dec 2011. This hotel is right in front of the bus stand in a small lane. The are surrounding the hotel is not so clean. There is no dedicated parking space.

We stayed in AC rooms, for which they charged 2000 rs. Considering that this was peak season, I found that the charges were ok.

The room itself was not so big. It was well furnished and clean room. The floor was clean. Bed sheets and pillow covers were washed and clean. Bathroom was also clean (although we did not get hot water. It was more 'lukewarm' then 'hot'). Overall, the room was good.

Hotel has restaurant which provides both punjabi and gujarathi food apart from snacks and tea. The food was good, although it could have been less oily.

We received good service from the staff. We reached at 3PM when the restaurant was closed, but still they took our order. When we inquired the manager about going to girnar, he helped by trying to accommodate us in another group's bus which was also going to same place.

Overall, I found the place nice and helping.

Location - Opposite the main Bus Stand in the middle of the town. Quite convenient to reach considering that it is also just a km away from the railway station.

Front Office - A small air conditioned cubby hole which belies the floors above. The reception is friendly and the check-in process gets done swiftly. A porter will lead you to the elevator which leads you to the rest of the hotel above.

Room - The deluxe suit on the 4th floor is definitely a surprise package. Faux wooden rafters on the ceiling make a pretty sight. A mini fridge, a flat TV and a bath tub in the attached washroom will surprise many a guest. Though the split AC was quirky all through, still most of the gadgets add lusture to the settings. Wide windows on one side of the room do not afford good views (in fact, you end up staring at blank walls of the opposite building) but the chik blinds make up for the lost view. The room was spic and span and a nice grooming hamper awaited on the dresser. A nice couch at the front part helped us relax with the television as well as doubled up as our son's bed in the night. Extra pillows and blankets are available in the closet, lest you need them in the early hours. At Rs 1200 plus taxes (CP), this suit was a steal.

Restaurant - Vishala has a nice terrace top restaurant which offers amazing views of the holy Girnar hills at the distance fringed by a thick foliage all around. The food is nothing great to write home about but since our package included a complementary B'Fast, the choices ranged from the regular Indian menu to the ubiquitous toast, butter and jam. As Gujarat does not serve non-veg food in public, the menu at Vishala is limited.

Local Sightseeing - The hotel provides you the list of places you may like to visit in Junagadh but they did not seem to have any local transport arrangement. It did not matter much because right across the road there was a bevy of auto rickshaws to take you around. At Rs 400/- you can hire an auto for an entire day's sight seeing.

Overall - An efficient business hotel which works equally well for the leisure traveler. One of the proprietors, Mr. Hitesh Modi will actually help you decide the best options in the town and even called up his acquaintance at the hotel in our next destination (Gir Forest) so that we got a nice welcome out there as well. A nice touch.

Room Tip: Book in advance and eat outside
