Excellent food delivered by helpful waiters. Tables are close together but makes for great atmosphere. Chinese as well as Indian dishes.

“delicious pulao”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

i had the chance to try the beef pulao today, and it was excellent, very unique flavor and good portion size, enough for two people with small stomachs. good location and upstairs has AC, but can get noisy if crowded. good value.

“Unpretentious authentic Goan food”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

This is a centrally located (on the left hand side of the broad street that leads up to the church) unpretentious eatery, where all kind of locals had their mid-day lunch when we passed by. Since no table was free, we thought that this must be a good sign, so we came back later and had a perfect Goan lunch: Pork Vindaloo (here - correctly - spelled "Vindalho") which was spicy but not as much as often said, an aromatic Beef Curry accompanied with Rice and Goan Bread. Nothing out of this world, but a good chance to sample the day to day diet of the locals - and it´s not expensive either! Too bad the Bibinca (local cake) that was advised on the menu was not to be had as a dessert. - Would have been perfect!

“Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic restaurant.”
Reviewed 6 November 2011

We went here because of a review in lonely plannet but it far outweighed any expectations we had hitherto our visit. The waiting staff were lovely and helped us through the extensive goan menu. Their English wasn't great but that didn't matter. We ordered some wine and what they had had turned so instead of serving it to us, the waiter ran down the street to get some more and apologised profusely for taking so much time. They even left it off the bill. Then there's the food. Wow! Top three eating experiences in 60 odd meals in India (and we had some awesome food elsewhere). I had the pork vindalhoo which didn't disappoint as the fat melted in my mouth and sent a flurry of flavour through my tongue. My partner had the fish special, pomfret, and after she chomped her away through the generous portion of the fresh catch, proclaimed it was the best fish she'd had in India. This unassuming little place, popular with locals, made for a delightful evening dining in the lovely town of panjim.
