The dishes are wonderful and the portions are even exaggerated! The cake was super!
The service was nice. We only need to wait a bit that they cooked our dishes, but this is a good sign, because it means that they prepared them fresh just for us!

Heard soooo much about this place and hey - it's #1 restaurant in Samobor so must be the best, right, "the" place for a lunch when your family from abroad is coming to Croatia.

Sunday, summer, lunch time. First letdown: sold out duck with "mlinci". How? When? Why?

Staff was really prompt, very kind and helpful.

The food.

Positive:

- huuuuge portions
- perfect mushroom soup
- great "rakija" (vilijamovka and blueberrry)
- tender meat (boar and veal)
- great sauce that comes with meat

Negative:

- a few grill meals
- poor selection of wines
- unsalty potatoes
- very artificial cranberry gravy that goes with boar
- pork steak too dry (and not grilled, as it was on the menu!)
- frozen forest fruit on pancake (it's better not to have it in the offer when it's not forest fruit season than to serve frozen fruit in a place like this)
- toooo big pancake portion (it looks really messy)

The atmosphere was really nice, very family/ friendly but overall a little bit disappointing.

I visited this restaurant many times and it is one of my favourite places. It has great traditional dishes with mushrooms, especially soup with 15 mushroom species. I recommend roasted tender veal in mushroom sauce and wild boar with gnocci. Also, they are famous for their selection of pancakes - 40 entries in the menu :) I recommend pancakes in wine sauce - vajnšato. All servings are huge, so take two meals for three persons.

Traditional Croatian food. Must try the mushroom soup! Wild boar was a bit too sweet for my taste. The waiters are extra friendly too.

Fantastic impression. All was great. Staff was helpful, menu offered all kinds of interesting dishes. Regarding food- it was delicious, especially mushroom soup. Portions were huge, prices were acceptable. They have a semi-covered terrace for summer. Will be definitely coming back!
