Stopped at Moon Hill Cafe on recommendation of our tour guide. My wife ordered stir fry veggies with chicken. She received a mountain of noodles with a smattering of vegetables along with a few scant pieces of chicken. Really bad.
Upon presentation of the bill we found charges for napkins and even a fee for the bowls in which the food was served. Are you kidding me?
Avoid this restaurant.
We visited this place after climbing the Moon Hill. Since it's the only place there, it does very well, but still it's reasonably priced. Nice waitress advised us the Sizzling Duck, which was very tasteful, though a bit greasy. Other staff wasn't very helpful, we had to fetch our own chopsticks and bowls. Nevertheless, this place felt rewarding after the climb.
Sadly when we paid, the lady who runs the place felt it necessary to try the "change scam" on us.
Why am I sure? She gave the change (10RMB short) to my spouse, while I was paying.
We have (suspected to have) experienced this scam a few times before but never was someone so obviously trying to fool us.
So there you are, if they just upped the prices by 5 per cent they would earn more money the honest way.
