We stayed in this hotel overnight before climbed Mt. Huangshan the next day. The room is small and has balcony which could not be accessed from the room but comes with long joint corridor with other rooms, leading to insecure feeling that people could peep on you at night. The next, my husband noticed that the glass shelves in the room where cups and kettle are stored actually losing one of its screw - if you put something heavy enough on top of the shelf, you may break the glass.

The room looked so worn-out, and worse the towels were yellowish and when pulled, torn. On 2 am in the morning, we woke up drenched in sweat and noticed that the aircon had stopped working. We made a call to operator and the response was someone would be sent over shortly to handle the problem. After 15 mins nobody came, and we called again and again promised that somebody would come and fix the aircon. Nobody came. When we called the 3rd time, the lady operator asked to wait until tomorrow. My reply was we would have checked out tomorrow and I need to sleep tonight since I have to climb a mountain. The operator abruptly hung up !

We dialed again and when I started to talk, the other side immediately hung-up again. We dialed Housekeeping, and after 3 tries, a guy picked up. We were promised again somebody would be sent over. We waited and until the next morning, nobody turned-up.

It was a terrible experience. In order to escape the heat, we opened the window and caught cold. There were no explaination, no apology offered when we complained to the counter the next morning. The breakfast was terrible with only bland tasted porridge and plain buns.

There were not many quests, except pre-arranged group like us who had to be trapped in this worn-out hotel. It seems that many have shunned this hotel and so should you.
