Felt like had scored the winning goal. I'd been cycling all day and just wanted to get to my room. The receptionists were polite, friendly and very efficient. They even found a secure room for me to put my bike in downstairs. The room was clean and comfortable. As was the bathroom; great power shower. This hotel is in the heart of backpacker land. Why they stay in those places is beyond me. When for the same money they can stay in a lovely modern well run hotel.

This is nearly the equal of a small European well rated hotel. The rooms are modern. Everything works - aircon, hot water, widows, doors - the full shot. And the staff are a joy to behold. The front desk staff actually stands to greet you when you pass them. A little excessive for a Westerner but really charming. Cavernous spotless lobby. Very good wifi.

Stayed here 3 times. Paid $14. One of the best bargains in Southeast Asia.

A very good hotel and a reasonable price. Its a couple of streets further from the riverside than most people look for i suspect, but its a simple few minutes walk away. Good. Have had some problems with flooded rooms during bug storms, and drainage in bathroom could be better. But overall good.

Stayed here for three nights (14$/n). Got a very big, clean double room with A/C and Bathroom.
Wifi worked okay, mostly.

The staff is friendly, laundry is good. It's very close to everything. (Recommend the HOC cafe - 3$ breakfast buffet)

Don't confuse the place with "Holiday Guesthouse" which is a cheap/bad place, we came from when checking in at Holiday Hotel.

Recommendation:

Very friendly and nice tuk tuk driver:

His name is Rith, he was our driver to the Killing Caves etc. for the whole day. He told us a lot about the history, showed us some farmers at their work, explained about plants etc. Also he made us eat some BBQ rat and fish pancake! Great!
We had a very nice day because of him, the sights are nice and everything but he made them come alive.

So I offered him to put his details on tripadvisor.

His phone is: 089571686 and his e-mail is rithkop@yahoo.com

If you're staying in the "Holiday Hotel" the staff can arrange to contact him, since he is a regular driver with them. If not, just send an e-mail.

We paid $30 for 2 nights. Our room was big and relatively clean for Cambodian standards. The bathroom was good and we got clean towels on the second day, shower worked well. A few random ants in the sink. The tv and air con worked well, wifi was intermittent. Good location, but Battambang is only small anyway. Staff were really helpful and friendly and arranged a tuk tuk to take us out for the whole day, I would recommend going to the bamboo train and going to the mountain to see the bats at sunset.
