This place was recommended by a local person, but it is truly "3rd world". The floor finish by the Lobby is a set of wooden boxes with green marbles inside. Looks like a 3rd grader picked that. The elevator is tiny. The place is dirty. The outer elevators doors on each floor are opened manually, which means one has to reach into a Little groove where everybody has been grabbing. The carpet running down the hallway on my floor was heavily stained and worn out. The country has a yellow fever Problem, which is spread my mosquitos, but there are no bug screens on the windows. The flooring in the rooms is all ceramic tile, which is probably good, considering what passes for hygiene in this place. The shower stall is all ceramic tile - and the mortar beds between the tiles are full of mold and dirt. The bathroom mirror frame was made from particle boards, which was all expanded with paint popped off, due to moisture. The room doors should be fire doors. They have no door closers. This would be a serious fire code violation in most other industrialised places. The food downstairs is not bad actually. The barkeeper speaks no English. The place has the feel of a run-down apartment building in a rough part of town. It's cheap enough to make you suspicious, and you are then correct to be suspicious. I will never go back to that place again.

Room Tip: Avoid like the plague.

This is the only place to even consider staying in in Sao Carlos, this is the best hotel in this town, the rooms are ok although a little old , the food is good in the hotel, in a convenient location, with friendly and helpfull staff

This hotel most likely used to be good but now it is quite rundown. The carpet in the aisles is dirty and torn, the rooms are spacious but the furniture needs to be replaced. The bathroom was ok. My room was on the 7th floor and there was no noise. Breakfast was fairly good. They offer a complimentary caipirinha or juice upon arrival (caipirinha is good). Free indoor parking. Friendly personnel, the receptionists speak English. Wifi was unstable and quite slow. On the whole, quite acceptable, but expensive for what it offers.

It's clean, comfortable, with a good breakfast. The rooms are spacious, if on the basic side. The service, however, is amazing, really outstanding. I was sitting at the pool, working on my laptop. They have plugs everywhere, but I struggled with the plug next to me. A maintenance person spotted that, and came with an extension so that I could use another plug without the need to move. I didn't call anybody. They just saw that I needed something, and came to help. This is just to add to the friendly receptionist, nice bar man, and smiley breakfast ladies. I'll definitely come back. Thank you! Ah, and the wifi is free and very fast.

the room I had on the fourth floor was very spacious but outdated. The decor is very much 1970s. The bed also feels like it was made In that decade and the towels as well. There are no double glazed windows and as the hotel is on a busy road it is quite noisy. On the plus side the free wifi excellent and the hotel is near some great pubs and restaurants
