It was the best Hotel in Ribeirao Preto five years ago. I think is still one of the best, but the City deserves a real top five stars hotel or should reforbish Araucaria Hotel and improve their facilities. In other hand the service is perfect. I"ll be there many times more because there are no competitors for now.

Nice big rooms, every taxi knew the place so it was easy to get to. Helpful staff with fairly limited command of english. The breakfast buffet is enormous but the rest of the food is rather average. Get out to one of the many delicious eateries instead. Room has wifi, and is a mini suite with a sofa, desk as partition and generous "bedroom" space. A mini kitchen (fridge, sink and plug) enabled me to plug in my travel kettle (yes, I'm that old). No iron "just use the washing service". Good cleaning from the maids, a nice yet small pool and a gym if you fancy these things.nd facing the other side if you like quiet. All rooms with A/C.

Room Tip: Ask for a room high up and facing the back, away from busy avenues and power lines.

Araucaria is a quite comfortable hotel with the usual facilities, nice rooms, attentive and cooperative staff, acceptable decor, quality toiletry, etc. Internet as in many Brazilian hotels is still considered to be something exceptional and so it is charged apart. Room price in the range of US$ 130. A good hotel to consider and definitely my option in Ribeirao Preto when I have a word in the decision. Everything is nice until you get down for breakfast. Hotel breakfast buffets in Brazil are notorious for their abundance and variety, but this one is a case apart. 7 sorts of juices, 10 options of fruits, eight different cereals, 20 different cakes and 24 different breads, all of them made at their cuisine, egg options, sausages, cheeses, hams, etc, etc, etc and with the staff asking if they can prepare something special for you. An unique experience.

Room Tip: Higher floors to avoid noises.

The hotel has a great location and is very well maintained. The rooms are clean and well taken care of very well. The fact that I stayed for business reasons (Facilitated a Quality Service Seminar) led me to be a little more critical. The only thing I found lacking were incidentals in the room. Pen no note paper, inconvenient location of the phone in the toilet area. That may sound picky but it made the room a little less suitable for in-room work. The staff were helpful, if not a little too serious. Very difficult to find many smiling faces. The quality of the meeting was good enough to stand with any I have presented in Brasil.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the city.

Spacious room, quiet, clean, great wifi, comfortable bed, good AC, cable TV with many channels, including some major international ones. Nice size bathroom, good shower but amenities were poor, no tissue available. Mini bar had the minimum needs. Nice staff. Breakfast was the highlight - one of the best I've had anywhere in the world, not to be missed!
