The hotel is half a block above (from) Ponta Negra beach and there is an easy walkway close by. The views from the front rooms is great and at night the surf sounds soothing.
There are two fair sized pools and the grounds are well kept and nicely done.
The rooms are small and crowded with beds, especially when advertising a "suite". The bathroom is worse. They do have hot water, but the toilet is squeezed in so tight to the shower glass that it's uncomfortable.
A hammock is promised for every room, but this does not seem to be so every time. We rented two rooms and one had one, the other not. The two rooms were perfectly identical, but one was sold as a triple, the other as a double, both having a queen and a single bed.
The reception service is unresponsive. When we asked for some extra cover sheets (a routine request), we were told housekeeping was gone. The guy was just too lazy to get the key himself.
When the wi-fi went down, the same guy told me someone else needed to show up in two hours and then make some calls. What, he doesn't have the phone number?
At over US$200 per night they even insisted on up-front payment and then wanted to charge extra for an in-room safe key.
The breakfast was mediocre for a place with such pretentions. No fresh baked bread, cut up hot dogs instead of carne do sol or bacon, limited fruit, tapioca made late, etc.
Not a good value for the money charged. Shop around for a better place. Natal has a lot of competition.

Room Tip: Get a front view, on the 3rd or 4th floors

Selecting this hotel during my recent visit to Brazil was a big mistake. We were chaged over 3 times the normal rate because of last minute booking and because of the world cup.
Upon arrival we were sent to a filthy, smelly room. Beds were not made and the smell was horrible. I called the recection, but no answer. Walked back to the reception and we were taken to several rooms in the same condition. We were ask to wait in a dark hallway as we were carrying luggage around for a while. We had arrived a about 4am and it was not until almost 530am that were finnally given a kind of clean room with no towels and a beautiful view to a construction dump site. Internet service was not working properly (not working at all) and after a couple of hours contacted the reception regarding needed internet signal. we were told that in fact the wifi signal was not very good but were offered a computer with wired internet service which did not work either but we were charged for its use.
Bad experience, would not recommend this hotel to a rat. Overrated

I traveled for the world cup, and the experience was amazing very good place to stay.
The distance from the airport to the city is huge, but once you are in the hotel it offers to you a very complete and polite service, if you are not a portuguese speaker they understand spanish and english.
The ammenities are in perfect conditions, everyday they work on them to mantain an excellent service.
The rooms are clean, and big. It has not luxuries, but all the necessary stuff you could need are provided for free.
Definitely I would choose to stay there again.

They were on a ripoff for the World Cup so maybe different at other times but not a good sign. Had booked a 2 bedroomed suite and got one room. "You have 2 rooms in 1" they claimed. Still charged full price for the 2 rooms. Front desk staff are ignorant and useless apart from one woman. Poor area is beglected and rundown. Badly needs renovation.

This hotel has a few good things and many bad things.

We realised when we arrive that we had made a mistake.
The staff is friendly but useless. (Not interested at all to serve the host).

The so called rooms with "partial ocean view" are just that. You have the ocean view over a lot of old houses and cables that cross the street in front of the room. The view is poor at best, perhaps on higher floors is better.
The rooms are very poorly soundproofed and is not easy to rest.

We asked for a room with twin beds (we made it through the web, we call, and mail to be sure), and after they confirmed, when we arrived we had a double bed, we called the front desk and they ask if they could change it the next day. After that they came to separate the beds (the same bed was separated into two single beds, that were a little small for my taste). They didn’t had sheets for single beds, what they did was fold the double beds sheets to fit the single beds…

In the bathroom the sink had a faucet like a public bathroom, which must be pressed and after 10 seconds it stops running water. (No hot water there). The shower did not have hot water either, they use an electrical appliance to heat the water instead of the sprinkler. (This type of appliance, are forbidden in my country because they are potentially dangerous). The water came warm at best, never hot.
The only thing they give you are soaps. Neither shampoo or cream or anything else.
They don´t change the towels thought the hole stay, and if you ask them to change the towels they charge you. (Same thing if you ask for pool towels).

The safe in the room has the old key system with lock that fits all together in the box. The boxes are small and they don’t fit a notebook inside (not even a small one). When we got the key it didn’t work (they didn’t check that but they made sure that we sign if we lost the key we would had to pay over two hundred dollars for it), we were told there would be solution at noon, which left us with the option to leave the values in the room (out of the box) or leave the hotel with all our values above ...

They also make you sign for the following rip off values: $ 240 for damage or loss of the remote for the A/C Unit, $ 350 for TV remote, $ 5 for the batteries of the remote, and $ 200 for each electronic key of the room.

The arrange the room some days and some days they don’t.

Good points:
The pool is not very big but is pretty good and is heated.
The breakfast is pretty good for the price.
The location is not bad.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at higher floors, I think the ones at the pool side at higher better.
