The food at Porção Gourmet was excellent! It is a little pricey compared to other restaurants, but well worth it. On the second floor there is a beautiful view of Cristo Redentor, although the second floor has been closed on the occasions I have been there. The waiters are very attentive and the options are endless. Truly one of the best in Rio.

I went there with a few friends on a Friday night. The service is good and the price is 45 BRL. The is very good for a restaurant in Rio. Instead to the servers bring the meat to the table, you need to good to the counter and choose the meat you want. The buffet has seversl options including Sushi, but not too much selections of meat, but if you consider the price it will cost you half of the price of a traditional churrascaria. The place is big and not crowded. It worth the detour.

This place has been conceived as an alternative to traditional Porcao. If you are less hungry and want spend less.
The organization itslef is different than normal rodizio and in some way even better.
In normal rodizio you stay at your table and get offered different kind of meat by waiters serving you time by time. Basically you have to waint till they don't serve you the piece of meat you like and get offered also other things.
In Porcao Gourmet, there is a barbecue area where you go and order and select just what you like. In other words if you want just picanhas you order it, they cook it for you and give you.
It is easier, you eat only what you really like and don't eat other things which you like less.
There is always a buffet area where you find salads, cheese, sushi, pastas pizza and all you may like to accompany the meat.
I found this solution better than normal rodizio. I like to eat just 2 kind of churrasco and in this place I can order and eat just the 2 of them..
really good..
at the end they offer you a huge tray of desserts... it is even difficult to select... all of them are delicious..
More casual than normal rodizio, this place is perfect for groups, friends than want a more relaxed and informal atmosphere.

A wonderful restaurant to go with meat loving friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. There is a children's playroom for those kids who are wiggly before the adults are finished eating.
A variety of Brazilian style steaks are offered in an all you can eat setting along with extensive salad buffets and sushi bars. The foods are fresh and yummy. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive without being hovering. They frequently provide fresh plates and flatware so flavors don't merge in an unattractive way. A wide variety of desserts can end your fete. The coconut cake is delicious.
This is a great place for couples, friends, families and parties.

Brazil is famous by the barbecue äll you can eat"service, and Porcão is a representative brand/ chain of restaurants of this style. But is also a good chain of "all you can eat buffets". Not fancy as the steak house version of the restaurant, but is good place for those who want a variety of dishes that range from Brazilian food to Italian food with a touch of sushi.
