“Simply a Treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2012

Paraty is truly a treat, with old colonial buildings, cobble stone streets and bright colored doorways one would feel as if they were in a history book. I fell in love with this city and its art scene on my first day. I visited local art galleries and saw amazing creations made from recycled materials. I made my way through this city as much as I could, eating at delicious restaurants and socializing with the locals, who were very friendly and helpful. Paraty is definitely somewhere I hope to visit again very soon.

“A Colonial Escape!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2012

When you arrive in Paraty, you have no idea what is hidden past the chain barriers that preserves the Colonial town and architecture of Paraty. There is amazing dining, worth while shopping and more than a few dozen places to buy local crafts and art. Here, the people are inviting, respondent and eager to help you. Locals will surprise you with information about what is happening in the town like little beach parties. Between the mountains, the small town and the water you will be sure to find yourself lost in a part of preserved Brazilian history.

“Definitely worth the trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2012

The small, inviting, beautiful town of Paraty, RJ Brazil has many things to offer. From the warm welcoming locals, the significant number of Cachaca shops that offer hundreds of verities to choose from, all types of shopping from souvenirs to high-end jewelry and fashion apparel. There are many Brazilian restaurants, and bars with lots of Brazilian cuisine and drinks to offer, along with live music performances to enjoy. Many of the buildings there are originals and are very well preserved along with the cobblestone roads. There is definitely a lot to learn from visiting Paraty, you won’t be disappointed.
