As a non christian I was randomly hanging out in the city when I cam across this beautiful church. An event was held there and I spent a few moment inside. Beautiful architechture.

Nice church, you cannot visit the interior but you can take great pictures of the monument. In my opinion, it’s the nicest one in Paraty, greatly conserved.

This church was one of our first stops with our guide, Cristiano, during a tour of Old Town Paraty. Uniquely beautiful inside - the red and white roses theme dominates the interior and is different than any church we saw on our Estrada Real tour. Pictures are allowed.

Our guide explained the history behind the building of the church. It was a segregated church for upper classes.

Worth your time if in Old Town Paraty.

The largest and probably the most recent of Paraty's Colonial churches with a more formal style than the others. It's a good place to reflect and perhaps to light a candle for a loved one (which I did).

I visited this place in the morning and found that it was very quiet and nice to walk around. By noon, it would be crowded. There seemed to have a guide to explain slavery in Brazil and you will be recommended to pay for his guide.

Probably the biggest sight of all there is to do in Paraty, the church is free to visit and allows photography. The inside is adorned with white, blue and gold paper roses, which makes it an unusual place of worship. Well worth stopping to discover.

The heart of Historical Paraty . Very near the sea and the small port where you can rent a boot to go around the many beachs .
Around the Church , a few good places to have dinner .

The church is more beautiful outside than inside. Really nice construction but very plain inside, specially comparing to the churches in Tiradentes.

This church used to be for the slaves. No exactly slaves but those who was free or reached it. It's a simple church but a historical one.
