Staff were all very helpful, esp when I needed to ring the bank in England regarding a problem with my credit card. Daisy was especially helpful. Decor looked a little tired compared with the boutique hotel we had just left in Copacabana, but compared with reports about other hotels in the area from people on the trips we took, this one was far superior. Food was available in 2 restaurants, both of which served good meals at reasonable prices and it was safe to walk to the nearby shopping mall. Water was freely available and the lounge/bar area had comfortable easy chairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel after hearing horror stories about some of the others in Iguacu, though there wasn't much to do locally.

Stayed: December 2017

Workers are very nice and helpful! Food has a lot of varieties and very delicious! Rooms are clean but not so big. The hotel is located close to everything, especially Iguazu Falls. I would go back again, for sure!

Room was HUGE!! 2 bedrooms, 2 single beds, 1 very large super king sized bed, sofa, table & 2 chairs, whirlpool bath with separate shower!! Think we were given an apartment as it was the low season. (That's not a complaint by the way!!). The buffet breakfast is amazing!! Trips to the Iguacu Falls can be booked at the travel desk by reception. We just booked transport to & from the falls, & did our own thing while we were there, but there are a variety of guided excursions available. The hotel price includes pick up from the airport, (you have to make your own arrangements for the return journey, & complimentary drinks!! Excellent value for money!!

Room Tip: High floor as there is a busy main road outside.

The hotel looks like it was built in the 70s, not sure the sheets and linens have been replaced since then. It offers sporadic wifi, so best to get a room close to the elevator. Thry do have an astronomically high number of power outlets per room, that is quite nice, but I am afraid to use them because it might make the air conditioning work even poorer than it does. Keycards last almost 24 hours, so if you stay for more than one nite, expect your keycard to need to be replaced, and the airport shuttle is quite a joke, none of that staff knows it exists, it runs randomly, so if you are ok arriving 3 hours early for a flight, it just might fit your schedule. Don't bother asking management a question, they are quite incompetent and do not really seem to even care.

Good value for money, although this is definitely not a 4* hotel. The rooms are very old and tired; however the incredible breakfast with its extensive options definitely compensates for the rooms.

All in all, we had a nice and confortable stay, but if I was to come back to Iguaçu I’d choose a different hotel for a second visit.

Thank you for choosing Hotel Bella Italia during your visit to Foz do Iguaçu.
Thanks also for sharing your experience with us and for your compliments.
In relation to the structure of the hotel, we are already undergoing a renovation in our apartments, without losing our essence of a traditional Italian family establishment.
We hope to have your trust back when we return to Foz do Iguaçu, we will be honored!
