This lake us large and there is so much to see and admire. Take a sailboat, drive above it in Montenegro from Ostros to Virpazar. Enjoy good wine in one of the few wineries and more.

We went up to the lake and had lunch in one of the lakeside restaurants. The food was good and the breeze from the lake was very welcome in the Summer heat.

It isn't the excitement of running a rapid, but this time of year, May, is perfect. The clouds build up against the mountains and then you can watch them roll over the tops. Be careful it can get quite choppy in a storm, but it is beautiful.

Taken on a tour by our lovely friend Agim (who's airbnb is great). The scenery is stunning. There are lots of very smart restaurants along the lake at Shiroke with very fair prices and a huge range of both fresh and saltwater fish. If going by foot/bycicle there is a rather seedy area by the bridge which I felt was a little intimidating but after this it is easy to stroll or cycle.
