This place is little - but worth the stop. Everything is great, fresh tasting, personal favorite is the fried shrimp - slaw is tasty - all tastes fresh - others seemed to enjoy the clam chowder on our recent visit.

The fries were about the same as McDonalds. The oysters are too breaded and not very many. Additionally the flavor was missing. It sort of tasted like an oyster. Slaw was good. Hush puppies were very good but we came for oysters. I don’t understand the other ratings. It’s our first and last time at Scott’s.

We cannot pass through Amarillo without hitting Scott’s Oyster Bar. You might think Amarillo would be the last place for fresh oysters. Wrong! It is a small place, off the beaten path, it is a dive, and it is an oyster bar. Therefore oysters are the reason to go there. They also have Po Boys and along with shrimp, baskets etc. We love the place. Wife and I usually get a dozen each on the half shell and split a basket of some sort. Of course a couple of cold beers each served in a brown paper sack to wash down with! Next time thru we will be hitting Scott’s again!

Every couple of weeks they have Fried Alligator. Today was my lucky day!

I highly recommend their raw Atlantic Blue Point oysters (Crassostrea virginica) and the Spicy Boiled Shrimp.

Best hole in the wall restaurant in Amarillo. Better seafood than any of the new fancy seafood /Cajun restaurants popping up. Everything on the menu is great.
