Very very nice staff. The attached resturant serves a sumptuous free brunch, and later the lunch menu offers good American fare. Dinner proved to be a very good plate for a very good price. The concierge is well informed and very helpful. Hotel is centrally located and nostalgia is the theme for beautiful ambiance. The bed in the room made for a very restfull nights sleep.

Room Tip: Pet friendly on 3rd floor. Ask for an upper floor room for a grand view.

An institution for certain - you'll learn a lot more from other reviews. Here's a couple of interesting/fun facts: "Tea" at 3-5 is a little awkward - we showed up at 4:30 and there wasn't a cup left and only chamomile tea. Would be great if they put out a few munchies. The "morning buffet" is just a slight step above the Best Western (Quaker Oats eaten in the old folks home of Larks Restaurant and Costco-style pastries). The elevator take for-ever - just take the stairs...we were on the 8th floor, but needed the exercise anyway. Rooms are cozy. Location saves a star, but they could use some additional remodel and an upgrade in approach.

Room Tip: Get a room near the top with a view of the city.

It has been several years since I had the opportunity to stay in Ashland, but each time staying at the Ashland Springs Hotel is a priority. The room amenities are luxurious for this upscale hotel, but the room prices have stayed very competitive. The rooms are very quiet, the beds are really comfortable, and the rooms well appointed. Since it is the only tall building in Ashland, the views are spectacular across the valley. Finally, the complementary buffet breakfast is served in the elegant Larks restaurant, a great way to start the day.

Room Tip: If you are a returning guest, be sure to let the reservation staff know as there may be a room upgra...

This hotel is a prefect getaway for a girl-friends retreat. It is only a block from the Shakespeare festival. They have a great restaurant, and a nice spa across the street. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The beds are great and breakfast is served everyday on the third floor. The hotel is a old historical hotel right in downtown Ashland so shopping is right outside your door.

My recent stay at the Ashland Springs Hotel was delightful. I was there for a 4 day seminar held at the hotel. The hotel has a charm to it for sure. My room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Certainly not a large room but the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in at a hotel. One of the nicest features is proximity to many shops, parks, and places to eat. No need for a car as I could walk to almost everything.
I did not eat at the restaurant at the hotel but I'm sure it was fine. Too may other places to visit.

Room Tip: I know they have rooms with luxury baths in them. My bathroom had a tiny shower and if I was a big p...
