“Great Coffee, Thin Wallet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2012

Easily the best coffee in Ashland. Unfortunately, it is a little pricey and the lines can get quite long, especially before a production at OSF. But still, I don't know how the Starbucks down the street has made it this long :)

“Ashland's best for coffee, pastries & delicious treats!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2011

We love starting our day at Mix! A casual, relaxing atmosphere with the most delicious pastries. Among our favorites: the ham and gruyere cheese croissants, the chocolate croissants and pecan buns. Their espresso drinks are a work of art. But don't forget their wonderful selection of homemade ice creams (more like a French-style custard). We often take some to go or stop back later for a cool treat.
Owned by the same couple who operates the Amuse restaurant, also in Ashland.

“Great coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2011

My favorite place for breakfast in Ashland. Excellent coffee, well made and presented. Fresh pastries, sandwiches, ice cream, the works for a snack stand. Their cafe au lait made me think I was in Paris. And I loved their morning rolls. Became my standard Ashland breakfast. Their outdoor seating is in the sun in the mornings, so take a hat.

“Ashland's sweet shop”

Both the ice cream and the baked goods are excellent. On the hot day last week the ice cream was wonderful to enjoy and then after the play we had a dessert.

“Eppi's, meringues, and latte's - oh my!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2011

Semi-new-ish to the scene, and brought to you by the same folks who gave us Amuse, Mix offers the finest fresh croissants in downtown Ashland, hands down. Try the Goat Cheese and Arugula croissant if you require proof. You'll find it in the Encyclopedia under, 'Things that make you go 'mmmmm'.... )

Mix offers Stumptown coffees out of Portland for the bleary-eyed and caffeine addicted.

Cases filled with patisserie (scope on the lemon tarts), miniature baguette sandwiches, and a small selection of gelatos make this a perfect apres-walk-in-Lithia-Park pit stop. Handmade candies are also in evidence (can you say 'meringue'?), though don't expect anything along the lines of their predecessors (the once landmark Ashland Fudge Company).

Not a lot of front of the house seating to speak of, but if you do get lucky enough to snag a table there is internet access. There's like one or two tables outside on the sidewalk as well.

I'm more of a take-away person myself: go around noon to catch
the Eppi's coming hot out of the oven :-)
