i went to the palm garden for two weeks in september ... the views from the hotel are absolutely breath taking mainly because its on top of a massive hill!! .. i came with my family and my nanna came aswell getting upto the main restaurant everyday when our room was at the bottom of the hotel was not a good experience 46 degree whether and we also had to buggies with us!! it was an ordeal everyday!! .. no lifts in the hotel and there are over 500 rooms!! joke!!! .. all the turkish gt the best rooms at the top and the english are stusk at the bottom! thats the bad news!!......

The good news is that its in the best location you could ask for right next to the strip 5 minute stroll to the gorgeous beach! no taxis no messing around!! the food is good not great not bad but im a vegetarian and i managed! you basically get 3 meat dishes one vegetarian amongst chips rice pasta and salads so its nt too bad!! packed with entertainment in the day but only for adults which i thought was a bit daft especially when the kids really wanted to play!! kids entertainment at night but only serve alcohol free drink down near the stage you av to go all the way upto the reception bar to get alcohol!! bout a 20 minute round trip if theres no que!! did it once n not again! n watch out for dennis on entertainment hes a bit of a pompous get!! very rude and degrading man!

oh and the rooms are very basic but liveable!
All in all 50-50?!!?! but not bad for what you pay to be honest!!

Room Tip: you want to be as near to the reception as possible!!! higher numbers!!

We went for the last 2 weeks in September this year after going to Jasmine beach apartments last year which were ok. After reading all of the reviews me and my partner were quite aprehensive. We arrived at 2am after a long flight, we were greeted by the friendly receptionist who checked us in immediately. The bell boy took us to our room and insisted on carrying our bags for us. Our room was clean, tidy and spacious just perfect for what you need when on holiday. The food was amazing everyday such variety, always warm and so tasty! Drinks are amazing too! The staff are absolutely lovely, people who say they aren't its because you don't make any effort to talk to them and speak to them like they are retarded! The pools were just perfect, the animation team are just brilliant, they work around the clock to ensure you have a good time! As for the cats, "over run with cats" its not, there are a few but they arent in the hotel at all and are so friendly, the whole of my stay i saw no cat poo! We spent so much time in the hotel, it had everything you needed for a perfect holiday! Cannot wait to go back next september! Ignore negative reviews, I realised when I was here by speaking to some other guests nothing is ever good enough and some are never happy and find anything they can to criticise! Xxxx

This averaged out at a very very low cost per day. This is a cheaper hotel than a travel lodge so needs to be considered, as you pay for what you get. In order to achieve this the Housekeeping seems to be the economy marker. The first room we were given was at the bottom of the hotel and stank of stale nicotine. The bathroom was moldy and over all poor. We complained and were moved to a room at the top of the complex. Although this was shabby it was far superior to the previous room. The supermarket just outside the complex offered a variety of cleaning products and we obtained a mop for cleaning the floor. I had already packed the bleach wipes having read the previous reviews! Becareful how you sit on the loo - it doubles as a bidet and the pipes are primative. Maintenance was also poor and several of the tiles were missing on the stairs which could prove dangerous, especially if you are taking advantage of the all inclusive. It really does have tonnes of stairs, but that helps to keep you fit with all the eating and drinking.
The food was excellent during our first week but as the hotel was closing shortly it became less with the choices reduced dramatically. Breakfast was a Turkish breakfast of Salad, Eggs, Feta Cheese, cold meats and Olives or Pancakes, Omelets, Fried Eggs or a selection of Cereal, also yogurt. Lunch and Dinner were various buffet style choices... and the Puddings were delicious. Drinks were limited in choice and towards the end of our holiday Whiskey was not available, Fanta had run out and was having to be poured from the bottle. Most of the staff were lovely and really helpful.
We found the Laundry so were able to ask for clean sheets and towels... we changed the beds ourselves! (a room just along from the shop).
Maintenance was lacking. Toilets were broken and not fixed during our stay. Showers ran cold, boiling hot or not at all, and all in the same session. This is solar powered so if its hot it helps. If its a rainy day... get in there first.
Holiday reps tried to sell us trips, fortunately our friends had been before and the trips are actually cheap to book with the tour agents in the town. We chose Tu Tur and saved approximately £25 on the Ephesus and Dalyan tours (in comparison with the reps) which was sad for the people we met on the first day who did buy - as we all went on the same coaches etc with the same guides and lunches. The Turkish night out was little more than OK and we all felt let down. The Belly dancer was almost begin for tip! The boat trip organised by the Animation team was great and well worth the trip out to sea. The free bus to Bitez is worth taking as the beach is good and the hotel Ambrose allows you to use their facilities. Camel beach is good for drinks but our food was a let down with the exception of the Seafood salad which was exceptional as well as large. The bars on the beach have pools and we stayed all day with lunch and drinks really cheap.
The town is a bar filled resort and the music stops at 4.30am, which you can hear from the room. Morning prayer starts about 5.30/6.45am with the calling to pray from the mosque. Not a quite resort by a long way.
The pool was clean, although open air so there were a few leaves in it. Pool games were played daily in the main pool and there is the option of using the silence pool which is much quite. There are loads of sunbeds to use.

Room Tip: Complain if its not right till you get one that is acceptable

great reception staff, animation team great but shows a bit bad britains got talent.
1 st room a nightmare but complained and got a better one .
food ok , remember you are in turkey so its not british food.
bar staff a bit hit and miss , some friendly so not.
pool was good and nice little water slide.
near the town and beach.
only warning would be, don't buy any tours from any rep who comes to the hotel.
we got ours from attaché tours who told us that they insured and better than the local tour operators who were dangerous and not insured , this was a lie and attaché cost twice as much for the same tours as the locals do. shop around.
