Spent three nights at the Sheraton in March 2012. Very nice hotel located close to a part of town with a fair number of embassies, good shops and nice restaurants. I found it difficult to find my bearings in Ankara so I couldn't say whether the hotel is central or not. In any event, it is easy to get to central business and shopping districts. Typical business hotel. Nice rooms, not huge but good size to allow for queen size beds and table with arm chair. Some surprising disappointments, i.e. I would not have expected to find an old style TV (not flat screen) with a limited channel selection in a top class hotel in 2012... Otherwise rooms very nice and also calm, allowing for a good night's sleep. Great and large gym with new Technogym equipment - all you need really. Then there are squash courts, a pool (unfortunately half of it is rather shallow so not ideal for real exercise) and a spa area with sauna and steam bath. I think there were outside tennis courts too. Great gym/pool/spa area! Service ok and friendly but perhaps I would have expected a little more attention, e.g. leaving I had to wait for a while until the porter came to get my bag I had left in storage. Agree with previous comments on the use of wifi - very strange that you have to pay extra for it in a hotel like that. Breakfast buffet nice and what you would expect in a hotel like that, but not the best out there. One day, I had a croissant that was not freshly baked. Not that this ruined my day but at the same time not what I would expect in a hotel like that. Overall very good experience - I would choose it for the location, the gym. I would go again - but only for a good rate or if on business.
