Excellent rental. Already planning our next stay.
Very clean, private, super nice.
I like to be outside and can tolerate getting grubby for a long weekend. My husband, not so much. This cabin let us have the best of both worlds. The cabin is located perfectly in between the Nantahala Outdoor Center where we hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail, had a great picnic lunch (although we could've purchased lunch). We also bought some cool yuppie outdoor gear at the NOC's shop, and we had the option of going on a river expedition but forwent that this year; AND Bryson City where we grabbed a great local brew at the Nantahala Brewery and hiked up Deep Creek Trail.
Watershed Cabin was SO nice, that these are my complaints:
The luxury king sized pillow-top mattress was a little too soft for us. We prefer a firm mattress.
We wished there was a pendant light over the kitchen sink
They left us several towels but only two washcloths
One of the neighbors (whom we never ever saw) was smoking on their porch one morning and we smelled it.
Hopefully whoever reads the above complaints will recognize the sarcasm. One can Always find something to complain about if they are looking. During our stay obviously we had to look pretty hard because these are petty, petty complaints, only stated as a means of pointing out how very nice our cabin and our stay was.
Overall we were Super pleased. Watershed is a place where you can go get grubby all day, and come back to luxury amenities. Its the best of all worlds for a certain 40-ish earthy/yuppie demographic. We Loved it.
