Lovely little hotel in a rather run-down corner of Male (next to various recycling plants, dumps etc - although you'd be hard-pushed to find a attractive area in Male - it's not the most picturesque of cities, to say the least), but this doesn't take anything away from the hotel itself (apart from the view).
The hotel is very clean, with lovely rooms (we had room 500 which was really a large apartment, with separate bedroom. kitchen/living room/dining room, and mezzanine sitting/study area up a short flight of open plan stairs).
The hotel staff were the most helpful and courteous i think we've ever experienced from the first impression to the last. In fact, the manager even ordered and paid for our taxi to the ferry, then met us at the jetty having bought our tickets across to the airport, making sure we got on the correct boat, and even helped with the luggage on board - exceptional service.
Sadly though, we were told that the hotel will be closing down at the end of April or May, so this may not be an option for future travellers unless it's taken over and re-opened again.
