One of the best hotel I've ever stayed in KL. Melia Hotel will remain one of my favourite hotels in Malaysia. I had a room on the 9th flore and though it was a smoking floor, I was impressed to discover the absence of the smell of smoking cigaret. I had a large room with a large bed. a wide screen tv, a good view on berjaya times square. the breakfast was great even if intercontinental breakfast isa normal thing nowadays. but the stuff was good and need to be point out.
the staff was nice and the porters were very friendly. always there to help you with a friendly smile.

Room Tip: chose the rooms above the 4th floor for a good view even though the noise of the traffic in front wo...

This is by no means a TOP hotel but with its convenient location and reasonable cost, it has to be the best. The hotel is situated very centrally in the city triangle, right opposite Times square ,walking distance to Bukit Bintang,Pavillion and other shopping malls . A huge number of places to eat as well and plenty of places to have a coffee.
We were greeted by one of the doormen who welcomed us "back" because he recognised us from our visit last year. How nice. The staff is efficient and friendly enough. The rooms are reasonably large and well maintained but there is no view to speak of, being among offices ,hotels and shops. The monorail is in front and there is no problem getting taxis.
Our most pleasant surprise was to find we would now have breakfast in the lovely, new, The Kitchen " , instead of the awkward mezzanine cafe they had previously which was awkward to move in. There is a huge variety of food on offer. We dined there one night and it seems such a shame that there were not more than 4 or 5 tables of customers. We enjoyed our A la Carte meal and the buffet was very extensive. I hope that the unused food goes to poor people. All in all , a pleasant experience again and we'll certainly come again.

This was our (my sister and I) 2nd time staying at Melia. We came back because of the location. Just take a train down right to the entrance of the hotel. Time Square is just across. We shopped, went back to the hotel to put all our shopping bags and went out again to do more shopping. From KL Sentral monorail station, just pay RM1.60 straight to Imbi Station. Breakfast was good, with lots of variety. Although we stayed for 3 nights and had breakfast 3 times, we still didn't managed to try out the entire buffet. Staff was very friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Rooms are small and outdated. Weird smell in hallways. Front desk staff is friendly, but not helpful with issues. Reserved King non smoking and received a smoking room with two twin beds. I was told that they had sold out night before and no longer had my room available. This hotel is in a good area, but so are many other hotels, keep looking!
