Excellent service with great location, 10 minutes walking distance to the twin towers and the shopping mall. The adjacent park is very nice to walk-in to the towers with great spot view.
Top floors Have nice view and more quite as the sounds of motorbike is loud at night.
The king bed is the largest. Buffet breakfast is very good with excellent service. The staff are freindly and helpful. I highly recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: A high floor will be more quiet.

Like the lobby at night.
Walking distand to KLCC about 5 minute, Near Indian food restaurant which I like.
Room is clean, sleep so well after busy day doing the function in the ballroom.
If compare to other hotel in KL, this is one is abit far from city center but you can use MRT to move around from KLCC.

We had three days and enjoyed the hotel and its offerings. KL unfortunately has lost its charm so the hotel was a pleasant refuge.

Great rooms, great service. Except for the drilling in the room next to breakfast - a littel courtesy heads up would've been nice.

The location IS a bummer BUT there is a train nearby so what is the problem???

My real issue with KL overall is that the taxis say no haggling but they won't take you if you want the meter. Be aware of this particularly taxis: HBA 922; HBA 4902 & HWB 9938 - the latter smoking as well as trying in on with "no meter". For an MYR11 fare they wanted 25. As soon as the words "Intercontinental Hotel" come out of your mouth KAAACHIING!!! No metered fare.

Room Tip: Away from the lifts - they are noisy!

I arrived at the InterContinental for a business trip at around midday on a Saturday. It was not especially busy, but yet I had to wait at reception for easily 20 minutes before I was seen to. Now, if this was a sole-proprietor B&B, I would suck it up. But since it was a 5-star hotel it was a bit annoying.

The location is good, only 5 minutes walk from KLCC and the Petronas Towers, which I feel are one of my favourite pieces of architecture in the world. Only a couple minutes in the other direction is the Ampang subway station.

The rooms are quite nice, but the design of the bathroom is weird. The bathroom is separated from the rest of the room by windows. Now, the curtains can be drawn on those windows, but it is still unique. And I'm not even sure if I like it or dislike it. When you're in a room on your own, it is fine. But if one was sharing with someone else, the windows lose their point since for most people, they'd have the blinds drawn the whole time. Well, most people would.

It was also difficult to sleep at night due to construction across the street. Though this is not the hotel's fault, I am staggered that construction is allowed to take place anywhere during the hours of 2am through 5am.

The fitness facilities are very good and as someone who likes to work out on travel, I was delighted with what was available, both weights and cardio.

The food is average. It has as much character as a midday soap opera and is sort of what you'd expect from a standardized international 3-star hotel.

And then stuff gets weird. One of my colleagues was awoken by a knock on the door a bit after midnight by housekeeping. He answered the door to be met by an angry housekeeping lady who was furious that he was not in his room earlier in the day (and why would one be in their room all day?) to take delivery of his laundry. Despite him asking her to go away, she jammed his bag of laundry through the door despite him still having the safety latch on. Bizarre. And this isolated episode kind of summed up the place actually. It looks like an international hotel and behaves like Fawlty Towers.

I also found that the elevators were also exceedingly slow. At one point I was wondering if I should log on to Orbitz and book and elevator from the 20th floor for next Wednesday. Speaking of transportation, budget plenty of time for return airport transfers. Especially during rush hour, give yourself at least 30-45 minutes more than what concierge recommends. On my return trip to the airport, I barely made it in time and that was because I panicked my driver into driving like a bat out of hell, at nearly double the posted speed limit. Yes, traffic is that bad.

Would I stay here again? Not if it's on my dime.

The hotel was very good just a stones throw away from the KLCC. The lobby was under renovation but the rooms were just as you would expect Intercontinental to be. Plush interiors and well maintained, the biggest plus of this hotel is that we were met with a smile wherever we went to. The concierge desk was very helpful in arranging day trips and airport transfers. We were on a business trip, and my colleageu had actually left his Iphone in the room while checking out. We noticed it on the way to the airport and had no time to turn back as we would miss our flights. We called the hotel, they had found the phone, and they arranged to send it to the airport by the time we left. They charged a airport transfer fee of 120 MYR, but then in any other hotel we may not have got the phone back. Food was excellent. The only down side of this hotel is that it is in a little upmarket area, and for families and tourists the markets and shopping centers are not near the hotel. We took a cab to a place called bukit bintang .. and we really found the place great place to shop and have dinner.
