It was our second stay at this fantastic hotel and yet again the rooms, hotel and whole ambience is so fantastic you cant fault it! The one downside this time was breakfast which was a carnage of events both times we tried it. First morning arrive at 10am and food was cold, plates lying around and the western manager trying his best not to make eye contact with any customers! Second morning arrived 7am and same experience but with less plates lying around! Generally travelling in Asia we have found even in 5* hotels the staff are a bit lost. The concierge here couldnt recommend a place to buy mens shoes except the mall next door or couldnt give directions for walking along the covered a/c walkway but told us to get a cab. I know no one in Asia walks (well the rich) but if you prepare for this before you arrive and take a go with the flow approach then you cant fault this hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking onto the towers - it worth it for the extra money especially at night

Well, we stayed at the Traders and the the Mandarin Oriental - nothing between them, you can't go wrong with either. Mandarin: a tad closer to the shopping center, and a bit older, but I feel better character. GREAT service, friendly staff - go and experience yourself.
We had booked a non smoking room, and on arrival were told we could have a 'treated' room on the smoking floor immediately or a non smoking room on a non smoking floor in 90 minutes. The tried the one on the smoking floor - no problem. The smell was apparent in the hallway, but the room we could not fault. No smell, great view - better than expected.

The staff qre friendly and helpful and the rooms very clean. The breakfast is a must have excellent value with a never ending variety to choose from. The Mandarin Oriental is set in an ideal location close to shopping and restaurants. Our stay was very enjoyable.

We received the service and quality of food & beverages that would be expected from the Mandarin but the hotel itself was a bit weathered. Perhaps top on my list is the fact that the elevators take forever to take you to your floor (even with only about 28 floors). The furniture and fittings could also do with a revamp. Otherwise, the location is great and the staff were superb.

I love the KL MO just how it is. The decor is full of character and warmth- comfy leather couches, wood, beautiful art all right on a lush green park. The service is world class - genuine hospitality with lots is smiles. On arrival rooms can be a bit cold and over air conditioned but this is easily adjustable to your personal comfort level. Expensive but worth it!

Room Tip: The view over the park and twin towers is worth the extra cost
