This was my second time at the JW Marriott in KL. The service as excellent. The staff are caringand pay attention to the little details. Alison the rooms manager even sent us a lovely cake for our Anniversary which I just happen to mention by the way but she actually remembered. Well done Alison.

Room Tip: We had interleading rooms

Loved the room we stayed at the one bedroom suite which was superb size for me , daddy , little daughter plus the maid slept on the couch. Room service superb because food came from good restaurants at Starhill. Requested for mineral water and they were not stingy! We had access to club floor lounge so superb stay with unlimited drinks. The people were friendly and gave good service ... Something hard to come by around KL at times. Toiletries were so-so as compared to our stays like Shangrila Rasa Ria, which had L'occitane toiletries! We didnt have time for the pool though it looked huge while we stated at it from our 28th floor room .

Definitely would recommend to tourists even those with toddlers. Easy access to Pavilion mall and Uniqlo shop in Fahrenheit 88. And of course I also shopped at Sephora!

Stayed in this hotel as a couple from March 10 to March March 18 (9 nights). The hotel is very convenient due to its location in Bukit Bintang where everything you may wish for is available within walking distance. The air-conditioned pedestrian bridge from Pavilion to Suria was an added advantage and took care of our needed exercise in comfort and security.
The rooms were clean and comfy, the air-conditioning excellent, our room location was quiet, and the six elevators are a plus. One week prior to check in, they e-mailed and asked if we had any special requests, and those requests were done when we arrived on the date booked without need for follow-up reminders.
I would like to pay particular attention to the housekeeping staff on the 11th floor during that period. I left my gold Cartier ring which I had for 30 years. It got me worried because I left it on the writing desk and forgot to wear it. When we arrived late in the evening, I saw the ring neatly placed on the coffee/tea making table. The staff made sure that I will find it there because I make use of their complimentary coffee ever day. For staff honesty, I give it 10/10. Upon check out, we were attended to by Ms. Allison Cheong, who was friendly and helpful and even tried to make pleasant conversation. She assisted us for transport back to KLIA. Will definitely recommend and stay in this hotel again. One negative comment is their food outlet SHOOK! The prices, quality and portions of their dishes are way too stiff. Better deals on food can be obtained close by. We were SHAKEN!

A generally excellent hotel - We booked 2 rooms and stayed for 3 nights in March. We were given an upgrade for one of the rooms which was great. Generally the property was well kept and maintained and located in the heart of KL. Accessibility to malls and entertainment was within easy walking distances even with kids. There's also plenty of entertainment options to keep the children busy! 3D movies just across the road and indoor theme park at Berjaya Times Square a little walk away.

Service was generally good, concierge knowledgeable and helpful, with the rooms well appointed. However, what was surprising was the lack of wine glasses in the rooms of a hotel of this stature.

Food and spa vouchers - several vouchers were given of up to RM50 for a minimum spending of RM200 at the restaurants within the establishment together with spa vouchers. We had dinner on 2 of 3 nights at the restaurants - hence the vouchers came in pretty handy. Time didn't permit us to use the spa voucher though.

Taxi tips - To get a better deal for a taxi to the airport, one could step onto the road where cab queues gather and secure your preferred cab at a negotiated price at your appointed time. One has to be a bit careful while running on meter even from the hotel cab as family members tried to get to the bus terminal one day and while running on meter, the tab came up to RM70-80!

Otherwise, a highly recommended property to explore KL from.

I first stayed here in 2003, before the Pavilion shopping centre was built and it was a bit off-centre location wise, but now being just across from the entrace of KL's top mall, its now busier than ever and looking a little tired out with Arab and Asian shoppers. The Feast Village in the basement is a real improvement however and Shook never fails to deliver. The rooms are smallish and need modernisation to 'asian-trendy', as does the lobby which is faux-european. In addition the steam room was dirty and the gym had the very same equipment as 10years ago. Summary, good for walking to shops or work and Shook is the standout restaurant.
