The hotel prices here are definitely very reasonable. We got a room at JWM, booked just a couple of days earlier, at $124++/night. [We were stranded in KL by AirAsia changing its flight schedule]. We got stuck in the bad traffic and it took us an hour to cover the last mile! We arrived frustrated but the warm friendly welcome from the staff (oranges, chilled guava juice etc.) perked us up quickly! As Platinum members they upgraded us to a suite [thanks Charlotte!] – which was very well appointed and had a powder room in addition to a spacious bathroom. During our two days we enjoyed the warm friendly greetings of the staff.

The Concierge’s lounge on the 24th floor has great service for breakfast (eggs cooked to order) and during the evening they have complimentary liquor for a couple of hours serving decent liquor – I got JW Black. The hotel is connected internally to the Ritz Carlton, so you can stay cool as you explore multiple dining and shopping options.

Room Tip: Suite 2812 is excellent but does not have the towers view.

Great stay, great place.

The Lobby was as expected of your typical luxurious 5 star hotel. Checking in was a breeze howver was slightly disappointed when i was told bluntly (courteously nevertheless) that there wasn't any clean room for an early check in- like as though the request was so expected that the excuse was readily made available-like autopilot. But let's not get that into us too deep as there are many other commendable things to note of.

Like the super duper tip-top location. For a family with a small baby, the location is, if i may say this, the best. Separated by just a small road and traffic light, is one of their popular shopping mall. Hotel is located mainly in the heart of KL and easy to get around. Very busy and bustling area,. May not appeal to those looking for peace and serenity.

Room: your normal 5 star standard, extremely clean rooms with nice comfy huge bed for quality sleep. From the web that i booked, we even get to choose what kind of pillows we prefer!

The next time im in KL, this is going to be my no 1 hotel.

Stayed just a couple of nights in this hotel. Rooms are not huge but well maintained. Executive lounge is great and serves nice food for dinner. Staff is polite and helpful. Perfect location for business travelers - very central. There is a big mall just across the road with large selection of eating places. The price was a surprise (about $130/night!) and I'm not sure it is that way all year round or not. Will definitely come again.

Superb location...very close to high shopping. There are some great restaurants in the shopping mall across the street. The Lebanese place was very good. There is a very nice food court in basement floor of the mall. I have stayed at this hotel several times and the lobby always very crowded and check in is always hectic. The cocktail hour in the Executive Lounge is very nice. The breakfast in the Executive Lounge is not as nice and the scramble eggs appear to be made from powered eggs. The service in the executive lounge was very nice and friendly.

Great hotel, loved staying here. Was amazed when I walked in that the hotel was so cheap! stayed here for 3 days during a business trip so didnt get to enjoy it completely but I had a good go.

Make sure that you visit the restaurants on the ground floor which is in the shopping mall in the hotel. Some nice little places, the Lebanese is great!!!

The only thing that spoiled the trip was a bout of the runs which came from a day trip to Vietnam. Nevertheless, the hotel helped me back on my feet. They went out at 10pm to find an open pharmacist and bought me something that may help. All very kind......

Was sad to leave.

One point worth noting though is that if you are visiting clients on the edge of KL and not in the centre, stay elsewhere as the traffic is terrible!!
