the gallery is adjoining the tallest high mast national flag of Malaysia...it also overlooks the cricket club ground & the clubhouse...took lot of cool pics....the gallery is a good shopping place....memory of KL

Ok this tends to be another good selfie spot taking a pic infront of the sign .
Museum inside is very small not a great deal to see.

You could book the ARCH D-I-Y Workshop and experience making unique Kuala Lumpur souvenirs at this guided workshop.

I love art galleries so was quite excited about visiting the KL City Gallery. What a disappointment. It is basically full of modern art of all types, mostly brightly coloured and in truth quite sparce. Not a lot for me to say really, other than its new, its heavily guarded. There is a lot more to see in KL that offers better visitor experience.

Our kids enjoyed this place, not a boring museum but a modern unique gallery and so many different sections, never a dull moment! You need to take time to explore, very enjoyable!

Free of charge is the first key point and after that the gallery is a simplistic way of explaining the history of the City and also the future. Has a cafe and the usual gift shops. Worth a visit if you have time but not essential. Most tour guides will have the Gallery on their itinerary.

The story of KL is told here through innovative exhibits such as the NEW 'Miniature Lifestyle','100 Icons of KL' and many more. It is a Must Visit especially for first time visitors to KL.
Unfortunately you did not give us a high ranking although there are many sections here which lets you discover KL in an exciting way. Our ARCH gifts and souvenirs are not usual, they are The Official Souvenir of KL, all finished by hand and Malaysian Made!
You are indeed right, guides will have the gallery under their itinerary as they value us as a tourism destination essential for their guests to learn about the city.
