Just came here to try after hearing much about it. Came here and had steak stone, buck wheat pasta, watermelon spicy soup (absolutely surprised) Mongolian khoorkhog which is a lamb stew and their host of dessert. Never felt so satisfied in a long while.

I had dinner there 2 nights ago with my mother on her friends recommendation. We shared the duck proscuitto salad and a mutton pizza for starters followed by a tenderloin on salt slab and lamb skewers for mains. Both shared. For dessert i had the pecan pie and she had the bread and butter pudding.
The starters arrived promptly. The salad was decent if not a little too complicated for me component wise. Too little proscuitto and too much everything else... the greens were nice and fresh. The pizza was ...how do i put this... amazing. Not something i expected form a fusion style pizza but it wowed me... perfectly cooked and well spiced i enjoyed every bite.
The mains arrived and the steak was proper. Medium rare and tender... sides simple yet well cooked. The lamb skewers were average and i reckon one could give it a miss and try something else.
Finally.. dessert came... and it was defin8tely worth the wait. Pecan pie was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The portion too, was not small. The bread and butter pudding though.. was sublime.. what can i say.. a must try at this eatery. Nicely browned on the outside and deliciously moist on the inside topped with a scoop of ice cream, it was bliss till the end. Kudos to the pastry chef for such sterling creations.
On a side note, i would like to also commend the front of house manager for her wonderful patience and pr skills in explaining the restaurants concept and foods. Next time... amd there will definitely be a next time.. i will try the more mongolian dishes that i missed on this satisfying first trip.

We were in a group of 8... and everyone enjoyed their main courses especially the mongolian slow cooked lamb. I loved the desserts, all of them tasted so yummy...will definitely go back again.

Excellent food and presentation, and surprisingly good price. Slab of beef on stone is to die for. Trying 5 dishes and 4 are superb. Another Mongolian fried rice was a little too oily. Mushroon soup is highly recommended. Definitely making a come back go explore other dishes.

Love the deco and cosy setting in a great neighborhood with ample parking space. You can find a variety of dishes here but I must say the authentic Mongolian dishes are special, which I doubt you can find them anywhere else in Malaysia. Rocksalt is definitely a cool place to hangout and chill.
