“Unpleasant odour in room, otherwise ok”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2012

Stayed 2 nights over December 2011/ January 2012. Asked for a non-smoking room but were given a room with an ashtray and air fresheners hanging from the air-conditioner. Not sure if it's because I associate air fresheners with bathrooms but I really didn't like the smell of the room. Otherwise it was fine, clean enough and located in a handy location, close to Pasar Seni LRT station. You can get your laundry done for RM6 a kilo at Hostel Red Dragon (83 Petaling St) around the corner, which is much cheaper than the charge-per-piece laundry service at D'Oriental (the D'Oriental staff directed us to Hostel Red Dragon themselves). Free (unsecured wi-fi) and fast internet.

Well located in the charming chaos of China Town, its a neat and well kept hotel. Decently priced and very warming staff.
The tourist helpdesk their advised me to take a bus to airport rather then pushing for their own Taxi service

But then I hate bed bugs and thats the only reason(big enuf for me) for a 3. I hope they get it treated soon.

Room Tip: One without bed bugs :))

This hotel is located in the China Town where there is a market on some days of the week. The location would be perfect but the rooms are not very good. We got a room with bed bugs. The airconditioning was very noisy anw was spitting water on us the whole night.
The shower int he bathroom wasn't separated from the rest of the floor sa after having a shower everything was wet. If you decide to stay in this hotel make sure you wear flip-flops when you go to the bathroom after having a shower.
Also, it was the cheapest hotel we found in KL and we only stayed there one night. But truly, I would go back there again. I still remember the bites on my legs!

My room was clean but 2 other rooms I was travelling with had the worst odor possible. The staff was nice. However, I used the internet and Laundry services of another hotel close by as they were cheaper. Located right in China Town on Petaling Street. Yes, that street is busy however, I just asked for a backside room and I never heard a thing! Close to the MRT which is great!

Staff were of no help, our air conditioner dripped water onto the pillows and froze up after firing ice over the bed...no towels or toilet paper were left when rooms were made up,called office numerous times for replacements. Petaling Street turns into a market from around 12 noon to midnight so rooms overlooking were very noisy....Taxi access to Petaling Street is impossible during Market times...When it rains the street becomes an ankle deep river of water, kitchen waste and rubbish....just what you want when booking in or out with bags.......Overall its cheap and nasty with "a breakfast" ?? thrown in......If you want Markets you are in the right place....then what do you do with the rest of your nights?.

Room Tip: If you want cheap and nasty this is the place for you.
