The hotel rates hike up quite high compared to other hotel in the area but its still affordable and you get what you pay for. Avoid the free breakfast, not fulfilling. The service is good, the staffs are friendly. The location is not one of the best if your aim is to shop till you drop but there is a drinking hole and a convinient shop directly in front of the hotel.

staffs are very friendly and helpful.. the location is good and very convenient.. room aircondition is working good and toilets are clean but smells old. taxis are always available and at the back of the hotel the whole street is occupied by different kinds of food stalls selling good foods at a lower price. breakfast in the hotel is not so bad. the person in charge of the coffee shop is very accommodating. although were not able to get a room with a nice view we will still consider this hotel on our next trip to Malaysia.

we last stayed two years ago we had a room with a decent view.this time around we had a room at the back of the hotel where all you could see was all the rubbish from the housing apartments thrown onto neighbouring roofs.such a let down we kept the curtains closed for our entire stay.the rooms are quite spacious and clean but lacking maintenance ie plumbing etc.breakfast very ordinary, if you want eggs be prepared to pay and could definately do with a new toaster.reception staff friendly and efficient, great location. with a few issues fixed ie breakfast and room maintenance i would recommend this hotel.

Room tip: get a room at the front of hotel

Who want to pay few euro, then it is the ideal one. But if you are looking for one with big rooms, perfect cleaning and A NORMAL breakfast...this is not for you.
The ugliest surprices are: lack of breakfast and the tragi-comic capacity of discharge of room toilet.

After having some trouble staying in GreenHut Lodge last May, I chose Alpha Genesis Hotel this time, for a little more luxury, instead of those low rate lodges and inns. The room rate is about RM140 including all service charge and tax. However, I had a 25% discount from my Agoda membership reward, which means I just paid less than RM100 a night.

As Alpha Genesis Hotel is directly opposite to Greenhut, one can still enjoy all the advantages around the vicinity, but for the change, having your very own privacy, comfortable sleep, and all amenties you generally find in a regular hotel.

And I do enjoy the live band at BB Plaza every night from 9pm-12midnight, as have been doing that every time I visit KL. Sometimes they have band groups rotation so one can enjoy different songs and singers. But the anchor group is the best as their artistes do perform songs in Chinese, Cantonese, Thai, Spanish, Arabian, to name a few.

Room tip: A room on the eighth floor looking out the hotel front get a good view of KL Tower as well as the people night activities on the streets below.
