We wanted to have good beef while in Japan and this place did not disappoint. In fact, this was the best beef I have had in my life. I was grinning ear-to-ear with satisfaction. We were a group of 7 and luckily we were able...to get the only two tables together on a Friday evening, as they only have four tables. The two owners are the only ones working and they were very friendly and accommodating. We had two of the selection platters and added vegetables and some beef tongue. That was plenty for seven of us, I think we all ate past being full. I tried to go back on Tuesday, but evidently they are not open on Tuesdays (at least not that Tuesday). I ended up in another place around the corner, but the beef was definitely a step down from here. Do yourself a favor and visit here when you go to Dotonbori.More

We didn't try the Kobe beef as this was quite expensive. The other beef was also good. Prepare for paying for your food, it is not cheap. Overall it was a nice experience.

I have visited this restaurant with great expectation for what was to come but nothing was according to my expectations. IT WAS WAY BETTER!!! Amazing food, quality is just divine. And above all the “service” was more like having a dinner at a friends place,...caring and memorable. All in the details. I went with my family and when I got served my Asahi beer I noticed that it was served in a Special cup promoting the Olympics of 2020. I was obsessed (I collect) and asked the owner whereto buy, after a lot of google translations i realized that it was only given to the vendors 😭 Anyways after a fantastic meal with a fantastic service full of joy and love, when Leaving the establishment I was given a bag with the “exact” mug that I was fascinated by. We all know that the quality of service in Japan is unique but, this restaurant is la creme de la creme! Thank you for fantastic memories. See you soon!More

This is an intimate restaurant that exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend the rock salt Kobe selection as the round cut was some of the best Kobe I’ve ever had. Arigatou gozaimasu!

This great restaurant was recommended by a friend. We had high expectations coming in and it exceeded it in every aspect. Kaiko was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. She always had a smile on her face - making us feel very...welcomed! We picked the Kobe Beef rock salt set which had Loin, Round, Ribs. All of it - amazing. I personally got the bibinba (Japanese Bibimbop) and it added to the Kobe beef leaving me perfectly satisfied. 10/10 recommend!More

In this restaurant you can enjoy the best (and probably the most expensive) beef you will ever eat. And the best part is: you can barbeque it yourself! Don’t bother about your ‘comfortable holiday clothes’, this is not a fancy place. The owners (husband and...wife) are to sweet: they will do everything for you to make your meal the best beefmeal you ever had!More

With so many Kobe Beef options in Shinsaibashi area, I went on TripAdvisor and found this hidden gem. The waitress was so friendly, I picked the ¥21,000 set for two of us. The beef was AMAZING, it melts in my mouth quite literally. We didn't...order any side dish or rice, the beef was quite filling. Highly recommend if you are looking for Kobe Beef in Shinsaibashi.More

The Kobe beef set here is incredible, probably the best meat I've had and in a small little family run restaurant makes it all the more authentic. The meat was soft and juicy and melted in the mouth.

My husband and I decided to splurge on our trip to Japan to try Kobe beef. We wanted to go to a quiet, non-touristy place - and we lucked out when we found this place. The beef was amazing, and the price was very reasonable...compared to other places.More

We went for the cheapest in the menu to try the quality of the beef. We're surprised by the quality of the beef. Excellent service, indeed.

My husband and I found this place by chance, we walked around Dotombori looking for Kobe beef, and saw this restaurant have banners saying "Kobe Beef" and everything else was written in Japanese (which we can't read). We decided to take the plunge, because we...didn't even researched about this place. I'm so glad we did! The place is very small but cozy, the service is excellent, and even the host speaks little English she was extremely nice and easy to understand. I wish I can remember the name of what we ordered, but basically was 3 different types of Kobe beef. The price was around ¥21,000 if I remember correctly. I know it's expensive but it comes with a lot of beef! We ate it all, we wouldn't let it go to waste. The meat was so delicious, it was perfect! we ordered a side of white rice. I have nothing against going to bigger or more famous places to eat, but I wouldn't change the experience of eating here for anything.More

Excellently marbled Kobe beef cooked over a Himalayan salt stone accompanied by a pour of 12 yr Suntory whiskey....life could not have had a better moment! This Yakiniku style hole-in-the-wall restaurant could probably only seat about 10-12 people & the head chef & host speak...very little English, but my father & I were treated with great care for both our meal & the experience. The Kobe beef is served in sets (no options for ala cart) & they have 2 options for the sets. My father & I chose the premium set (around ¥22,000), & were overwhelmed with the amount of meat that it had. Definitely too much meat for us (it probably could have fed 3-4 people) but we stuffed ourselves silly because we were not about to waste that preciously marbled meat! You must cook it yourself (I recommend using the salt stone block for even cooking). I highly recommend this place. It is not a fine dining Kobe experience, but the quality of meat & service was better than some booshie places I've been to in LA. Will DEFINITELY come back to this restaurant the next time I come back to Osaka. *Tips for cooking your meat! Don't overcook! Sear one side, as soon as the raw side starts to form some au jus, rapidly turn over, & as soon as you see some of the juice seep through the already seared side, remove from the block! Don't overcook, as the heat retained in the meat will still continue to cook even after being removed from the source.More

I wasnt really a beef lover but this place has surprised me. They offered the most tender wagyu beef that I have ever eaten (it depends on how you grill it also). We had wagyu instead of Kobe due to our tight pocket but i...believe the Kobe Beef would definitely surpass anyone's expectation as well. The service was excellent too. The owner was very hospitable. He understood english and there was no issue with communication. I remembered dropping a chopstick on the floor and he came right to us with a new pair of chopstick immediately without us asking for it. This is definitely a must try near Dotonburi as the beef is really oishi....I will definitely go back again.More

The restaurant doesn't display its English name outside so it can be hard to find. It's basically located in an alley between Family Mart and a drug store (if I remembered correctly). I visited during lunch time and attempted to open the locked door. The...owner came to the door and invited us in. The restaurant is small and could probably serve only 3 - 4 groups of people. The owner could understand English and was able to conversed in basic English. We ordered Miyazaki wagyu beef set instead of the Kobe wagyu beef set as we just had a pricey Matsusaka wagyu beef yakiniku at another restaurant few days back, and were on a tighter budget. The taste and texture was heaven and was just as what I expected from quality wagyu beef. The owner was friendly and his service was top-notch. I'll definitely visit again for its Kobe beef set if I ever visit Osaka again!More

The short story is that this place rocks! They give you 3 different cuts of grade A4 and A5 grade Wagyu at an excellent price (we ordered the Miyazaki). You grill the meat yourself which allows them to offer a lot more beef than their...competitors. 3 delicious dipping sauces are provided as well. Keiko is super nice, and helped us choose the same meat dish that the blogger Lucy chose (see link below). 10/10 can't wait to come back here! The long story is that if you are anything like me, you Googled every Wagyu restaurant in Osaka to compare prices with quantity and quality. The down low is that you are going to spend a minimum of USD $100 per person for good Wagyu and a show ($200 per person at the upper end places), and the good ones fill up quick. I can easily cook the meat myself so I figured it'd be best to find a spot that ditched the show and gave me more beef for my buck! While searching as many online restaurants as we could find, we found a travel blog which highlighted a hole-in-the-wall in Doutonbori. We decided to give it a go and BOOM we were sold! We spent USD $160 total for two people and stuffed ourselves full of meat. 10/10 will come again :D This is the address for the place as it is a bit hard to find: 1 Chome-8-5 Dōtonbori, Chūō-ku, Ōsaka-shi, Ōsaka-fu, JapanMore
