Other than the location which is great since it is in the osaka station building, everything else was average including service. They even asked for payment in full upon check in. The bathroom was small and the room was pretty small as well. There is really nothing fantastic about this hotel esp. given that it is pretty pricey.

Firstly a great location ideal for the railway station. We stayed on the 27th floor the executive rooms, the room we were allocated was just way too small, there was nowhere to store suitcases. There was a settee at the end of the bed which made it impossible to move around without climbing over suitcases. The room had an office desk with a ridiculously large office chair, we had to move this chair to in front of the entrance door in order to make space. I asked reception if we could have the chair or settee removed from the room but they said it was not possible. The cluttered nature of the room just ruined our stay. I give this as feedback to management as just rearranging and putting less furniture in the room is surely possible. Otherwise Staff fine and breakfast ok.

Love the fact that we didn't have to search hard for it once we alighted from the train coming from the airport - as the hotel is located right near the main entrance of the railway at JR Osaka Station (about an hour from the airport). (Note: Especially good because we were travelling with older parents in their 60s, who preferred the ability to hit the room every time they wished!)

Directions: We got out of train, found the "central" exit, got out, turned right for "south", and in a short distance it was the entrance to the hotel reception at ground floor. You could miss it since it is not a separate building (with Daimaru entrance to its left) - if not for the signs. While the hotel reception is on the ground floor, it seems like the hotel's guest rooms only start from 19th (to 27th).

We arrived early - about 11.30am, and was reminded that check in would only be at 3pm, but they would take our luggage. Which was good as we could then have our lunch and start exploring around the station area.

We had a room on the 26th floor - which had a nice view looking at the roof below of the station shopping mall and the surrounding buildings, including the train track.
The room was quite small - about 22 sqm; and because we squeezed in an extra bed for our son (payable), it became quite cramped. Not much walking room but manageable.

The bed was quite firm - I think others on TripAdvisor complained about it being too hard. But I guess it's a matter of personal preference as I was all right with it. As there were 2 pillows - 1 very hard and 1 very soft, I just put the soft one over the hard one to get a mix of it! But the bed overall was comfortable.

We did not cater for breakfast as there were plenty of options within the train station as well as the surrounding malls. Our regular option, though, was a nearby deli cafe called "Kitchen Deli Cafe" located at the Station. They sold all sorts of tasty pastries and confectionery!

Overall, I would choose Granvia again for the convenience.

It is situated at the top of Umeda JR station. It is very convenient for you to access different sight by train. I stayed in the Granvia floor and there us a small lounge for the guest to have refreshing drinks and snacks. My room has no street view but I think ok. The bathroom is big and has bathtube, which is convenient to us to take bath with my kids aged 21 months only. The check-in lobby is a little bit small. But if you stayed in Granvia floor, we can check out at the floor reception directly, it is very convenient.

Very happy with our stay and this fantastic view, water pressure was brilliant and the room clean. Pillow was a bit hard but did not loose any sleep over. Breakfast the following morning was more then enough to keep our bellies happy. Thank you and absolutely would stay again.
