Arrived at Osaka from Kyoto with plans to visit Himeji and Hiroshima via Shinkansen and chose this hotel. It is about 5 - 6 mins walk to the Shinkansen station and it has the same amenities like every Toyoko Inn.

Good for travellers who needs to take the Shinkansen.

First of all, I would like to recommend you guys to read the review by Mr. Chan dated December 13, 2011, it is very USEFUL and clear to show you the way to be there from JR Shin Osaka Station to the hotel. Secondly, it is just next to Toyoko Inn Shin-osaka Chuo-guchi Shinkan. Since I didn't feel well upon my arrival, I asked for a relatively quiet room and the staff arranged me a room number 412 which faces to other buildings but not railway track.

For the price it charged this is an excellent value business hotel. It's very conveniently located (less than 10 mins walk from shin osaka train station), the ensuite room is super clean and well equipped. The room is small but cleverly designed to maximize space. The complementary buffet style japanese breakfast has quite some variety and is quite good indeed.

This Toyoko Inn Hotel branch is a standard one with reasonable price and located around train station. However, this hotel is not close to Shin-Osaka station and you have to walk about 10 minutes. The room is nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice place to stay for visitor who use Shin-Osaka as a hub for teavel around.

From Nishinakajima-Minamigata (M14) station on the Midosuji line, it's about six minutes walk to the hotel (there are two Toyoko along the same road, but they are very close to one another). Along the way, there are many eateries, convenience shops, supermarket, so it is a rather pleasant walk from the hotel to the subway station.

What I liked:
- There is complimentary wifi in the room, and breakfast
- Room is clean, and fairly well fitted
- Umeda is only two stations away
- Location is not too bad. - not too far from the subway station, and there are eateries and shops nearby

What I didn't like:
- Room although clean, feels a bit old
- One side of the hotel faces the rail tracks, and although the room has doubled glazed windows, you can still hear the trains passing by.

Room tip: Ask for a room that does not face the rail, tracks, so,that you will, have a better sleep
