We stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Its location could not be better. Close to main roads and subways, less than 100 meters from Pontocho and Kiya-machi dori where you can find endless number of restaurants, bars and stores in a very lovely scene. At the hotel we stayed at the Asa suite, comprised of a pleasant living room, a nice and comfortable bedroom and a huge bathroom. The beds are comfortable, everything was perfectly clean and the service was attentive. Bear in mind it’s not a hotel, so don’t expect lobbies etc. Reception is a tiny place and it’s barely enough to store 2 or 3 suitcases. Check in is not possible before 3 pm so if you arrive early in the morning after a long fight, you will have to wander around.
The only disappointment was breakfast. They show on the menus both a Japanese breakfast as well as a Western one. We tried both and the Western one was less than the minimum expected. If you love the Japanese style, you’ll be fine, otherwise there are a few very nice coffee shops around the corner. Bottom line, we highly recommend Yafit’s-Dejavu. More
