I travel frequently to Hangzhou on business and this is located quite near to the factory I visit.
The location is a little out of the town centre but cabs are cheap and plentiful.
Great value at £70 a night for a huge suite!
Bar is a bit clinical and no draft beer, breakfast is a huge eclectic buffet!
Yup would recommend this without question.

Hotel is ok for one or two nights. The hotel is getting old and the rooms are in need of a refreshment. The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is ok but nothing special. I can and will probably stay here again.

And a bit far from town, but just 20 minute walk to a food street/market.

Nice hotel with remote location from city center but close to food street. Be upgraded to superior suite on 17th floor with just has separate living room and no special amenities just bigger superior room. Comfortable bed and large bathroom with no bathtub. Service was Crowne Plaza standard with well-recognized elite member. There is bicycle rental booth right in front of the hotel, 3 minutes walk to Shi Hui Ba Bus stop to travel around Hangzhou by public transports. The hotel use Bank of China POS machine, so if your credit cards are issued aboard and do not want a dynamic currency conversion, just tell the staff to cancel it.

Room Tip: I do not hear any disturbing noise form expressway on 17th floor

Located a bit out of town but close to the Grand canal
My new favourite in Shanghai as it's the right side for me when I visit the factory
Club floors recommended with great club lounge
Great service huge rooms just ideal for business but for tourism may be a bit too far out - but hey cabs are cheap if you can stand the driving!

Stay here when travelling on business - the hotel is good, clean, rooms excellent, staff friendly. The gym, pool and sauna are a great way to wind down.
The location is great if you are working this side of the city, as the rush hour traffic through the centre gets worse by the day. Not so great if you like a quiet walk in the evening as it is a heavily built up area, if you want to visit the lake it is a 10 -15 min taxi at quieter times.
The view of the highway outside will certainly not be on the front page of the Hangzhou tourist guide, more like Dantes 7 levels of hell but you do not hear the traffic.
The food in the hotel is ok with a reasonably priced Chinese on the second floor, the buffet on the 4th floor is a bit hit and miss, I would recommend going earlier rather than later. For a taste of China walk out of the main entrance turn left and walk for about 5 minutes, as you cross the canal you come to Food Street - I do not know the correct name but Food Street describes it nicely 50 or more restaurants catering for all tastes of China.
Negative side the two hotel bars are completely lifeless - The Mixx and Insomnia bar sound promising but Insomina - may cure your sleeping problems it certainly won't give you them, and crucially no draft beer even though they have two pumps.
To be honest there are a couple of big KTV style bars close by (if that's your thing).
Overall the hotel is a very comfortable environment, excellent gym and pool just bear in mind the location etc.It is neither very good nor average, I have never quite understood the rating system with nothing between average and very good - so as I cannot give it a good I will go with very good so as not to be mean.
