Difficult to review the Rose Garden in Hangzhou as we had mixed feelings about it...
We did not start on the right foot as we contacted the hotel few days before check-in in order to ask some very simple questions but never had a feedback.
Outside swimming pool was "closed" for the hotel guests but still had some swimming lessons. No one was able to let us know why it was closed either... One of the guy, Bill, was especially going on my nerves as he was more focused on his phone than trying to help out.
No aircon, no towels in the fitness center...
We asked for directions to the 9 rivers walk (probably one of Hangzhou's most famous activity) and the front desk was not able to tell us how to reach the place... Thank god google map was here to help and it was actually a 20 min walk.
The hotel was hosting a wedding over the week end and there was some very noisy music / speeches going on all afternoon, not very relaxing.
Not all was bad... Place is nice especially the garden. Some of the staff were very helpful and nice (especially the ones in the restaurant). Food was good overall...
If you are heading to hangzhou for a good moment I am not sure I would recommend the place as it was not necessarily relaxing More
