This used to be one of Moscow's top hotels 20 years ago, now overtaken by many others and in need of renovation. Service was good, breakfast pretty basic and rooms need upgrading. We were there for just a short while so couldn't check out the other facilities. Location is good - not far from the airport and not too far from the city centre either + a 10 minute walk from Dinamo metro station + 2 minutes from a supermarket
I visited the hotel during the world cup. Pretty good place . Close to all highways and SVO. Great kitchen and room service.
Clean and Fresh. but i would say 3.5 stars instead of 4.
Cons: very slow wifi.
You will appreciate the size, the welcome juice, the location and the efforts of the receptionist.
You will not appreciate the oldness. This hotel clearly needs to be revamped. And you will not appreciate ehaving to pay over 200 usd a day for what is clearly not more than a three-star hotel
We stayed at this hotel for the World Cup. They were charging a massive premium at the time and the stay was overall disappointing.
Good things
- breakfast is a good variety.
- a range of facilities like atms, stores and the bar is 24 hours, coffee shop on bottom floor too.
- can see the hotel from the main road very easily
- not far from the city centre via bus or taxi. But it is far to walk.
NEEDS improving:
- Rooms and bathroom are very dated and need renovating. The bed covers were stained and smelly
- Room service: no one picks up the phone for room service and you had to go and order at the bar
- Water coolers. There is a water cooler on the bottom floor in the gym but other places we’ve stayed in Russia have had water coolers on each floor. Otherwise a 750ml of water at the bar was $9.00 AUD!!!
- Staff seem pretty dismissive. Could be because of the language barrier but didn’t feel the welcome we have received in other places.
- WiFi was pretty bad in our room on the 7th floor.
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel in terms of international standards. Pretty disappointed considering prices.
1- Very Rude Staff
2- No Room Service, we called twice to order food they shut down the phone.
3- If you do not speak Russian do not book at this hotel.
4- Careless staff and somehow impolite.
5- Rooms are average and aged.
My first trip to Moscow since -84, not much have happend consirning hotells, old fashion but the staff are doing the best to give you a nice stay. Breakfast ok, bar ok, room ok, location not the best.
