The Lotte Hotel in Moscow is a grand building, centrally located in the city and close to a metro station.

The rooms are all luxurious, well maintained and of a good size. The public rooms are the same.

The staff are really what makes this hotel a delight. They are very smartly turned out, all of perfect deportment and all of them have the most charming set of manners on them. After a really bad day, these people will cheer you up and make you feel at home, and nothing seems ot be too much trouble for them. I have never heard anyone say "no"!

If I had to choose a hotel to live in for the rest of my life, it would be the Moscow Lotte.

Room Tip: If you like to see the street outside do not be afraid of noise from it. The rooms are soundproof.

Personalized service which is easily the best in Moscow and certainly tops globally. Staff will all go out of their way to design a perfect stay. From concierges that double as personal assistants to a Front desk staff that makes you feel like you are staying at home to the bellman and security that are always there to lend a hand and of course a smile, which can be rare in Moscow.

Rooms are spacious and bathrooms have huge walk-in showers and baths. The spa and health club is the best in Russia and the pool alone is worth the trip.

Location, Location, Location - With traffic as bad as it is in Moscow - this location is easy access for central or for Moscow City.

The Lotte has brilliant service, ultra-comfortable rooms and an excellent gym and spa. The housekeeping and lobby staff really do a great job. Free and reliable wifi. Absolutely no complaints and I'd stay there again.

The only reason for my giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is its 'This-could-be-anywhere-in-the-world' atmosphere. They could have gone for a Russian vibe, or a Korean theme, but instead they have gone for a generic 5-star decor.

The breakfast buffet echoes this generic-ness, with a mish-mash of all kinds of foods -- from a chocolate fountain (really ? at breakfast ?) to miso soup to cakes and pies to green salad - none of them very good and some inedible. And lousy coffee. By contrast, the breakfast room service was flawless.

Rooms are ok, service average and it has no atmosphere at all. Stay at Ritz, you will be much happier.

Don't expect much... The hotel is very expensive, but isn't worth the price at all. First of all, service is far from 5star standars (epecially EASTERN 5star standards). The hotel is huge, and makes you feel tiny and miserable, with all this tasteless decorations all over.
Breakfast food was cold.
