The diving here is not the most colourful I have seen but we heard whales and saw a turtle and octopus, as well as many fish and some different corals and we visited a cave so an hour's dive passed very fast. The company is seriously professional. Well trained and friendly dive instructors (David gave us an excellent briefing and paid very close attention to us, helping with our kit). We were only three in our group and about a dozen on the boat. All the kit is new and well maintained. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We did two dives with Jean. The dive centre is professionally run with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Although there was a sense of fun, safety was the focal point with only 4 divers per DM. Jean explained what he expected to find on the dive and what he hoped to find. He was very enthusiastic and one could sense that even under the water. What I enjoyed was that he took photos of minuscule creatures and showed us on his camera and then allowed us to take our time viewing the creature and taking our own photos. After the dive he then shared his photos with us. Dive with O Sea Bleu and you will not be disappointed.

Having been spoilt to dives all around the world, we were disappointed at the dive. Thumbs up for dive equipment & English dive master but we later went snorkelling straight off cost where we have dived only 200m off shore & had better viewing experience. Feel slightly cheated & glad we only booked 1 dive.

I (PADI Rescue Diver) and my boyfriend (PADI DM, TecRec Deep) have chosen this dive centre out of coincidence. We actually planned to dive with another DC but thought it would be interesting to have a look around the bay for other DC’s. This was the first time we met Jean - in fact the weather and conditions were not that good, Jean told us diving is not possible at the moment and would just be honestly just a waste of time.

We still decided to dive with the other DC as planned – a mistake. After having a really bad experience in the morning we decided to go and look for another place. We remembered what Jean told us the day before and this strengthened our trust in O Sea Bleu immediately – and it was a perfect match!

It is not so easy to find English speaking diving professionals around St. Gilles les Bains. But with O Sea Bleu this was not an issue at all. We were welcomed quite warmly by Jean, one of the instructors, while we still were packed with our dripping wet equipment (after checkout from the other DC). He offered us a seat and planned with us the afternoon dive.

The first dive we had with Jean was just amazing. It started with a very good briefing of the DC and all emergency procedures on the boat. We dived at Canyons within the marine preserve area, Jean has a good sense for exploration and catches even the tiniest creatures with his camera. With this said, Jean offered to provide to us all pictures of our dives for free! Time limits are non-existing, the duration of our dives depended on our air consumption which we found very customer friendly.

In the following dives we met Will, Angelique, Fabien, Dave who all work for this lovely DC as well as the young and passionate owner Benoit. We were impressed by his good sense of communication and humour. His philosophy and vision is shared by all staff which gives an overall consistent experience. Beside the well organised team the other customers were also nice and friendly – the dive groups were put together according to diving level and experience. The ambiance on the boat was chilled, fun and serious on the same time. We felt very comfortable and welcomed – speaking, laughing, briefing. If you have special requests regarding any dive site, O Sea Bleu will do their best to find an opportunity to dive there.

It was a sign of good karma, that I could spend my 100 dive with this entire lovely people. On this day we decided to have a deep dive in the morning. After getting back on the boat, Jean saw on the horizon a few dolphins. Getting nearer we couldn’t believe that we are actually in a group of ca. 40 dolphins! Jean made us have maybe one of the best days in our lives – Merci beaucoup! To celebrate passing 100 dives the whole team organised a very nice and beautiful long afternoon dive (81mins) at one of the most colourful places I have seen. They also prepared the group to open a bottle champagne after safety stop to cheer the celebration. For us it was definitely a special highlight in our diving career to drink underwater and have so much fun. As if it couldn’t get any better, Jean and Will filmed the whole celebration with their GoPro so I got a souvenir video to take home – again for free.

Just additional information, O Sea Blue is also an interesting DC for Tec divers, currently they offer some exclusive spots but no courses yet. I am quite confident though, that Benoit will cover as well this niche. Nitrox blends up to 100% oxygen are available for additional cost.

The team of O Sea Bleu made our holiday in Reunion special and filled with very good memories! We were happy to meet all of you and your families and of course we will come back someday for sure ;-)

Very friendly and professional diving club. Relaxed atmosphere. We also loved the whale and dolphin cruise with Stephanie, Benoit and Jean. Simply great!

Sea Bleu is situated right in the harbour of St. Gilles. It's only a short walk to the boat. After a 15 minutes boat ride, we arrived at the diving site with many little canyons under water. There was plenty to see, including a turtle. We we were told they would dive with only four people per instructor. We were lucky to go diving alone with our instructor Will. We loved his relaxed attitude, and that he went slow - 'doucement' - so we had time to enjoy the dive!! After the dive it was nice to sit with everyone with a punch and Brioche at the harbour and chat. The equipment we got was good as well.

One of the busiest dive clubs in St Gilles, this is well located in the marina area at Roches Noires. As the club is on the quay-side there's no long trek with your equipment, just a few steps are needed to put it in the boat. Dive monitors are experienced and security conscious. PADI divers are accepted.
