Our visit to the Reunion Aquarium was a pleasant surprise. We had read that it was only so-so but instead found fabulous interactive displays, a huge variety of species and a great gift shop at the end of the visit.
Unfortunately for us all the signage is in French, however this didn't stop us enjoying the displays and the short presentation "24hrs on the reef". Kids in particular will love the aquarium, especially the area where the large fish swim overhead.

Whilst the aquarium is fairly small there was plenty of diversity and was very clear to see the animals in their enclosures. There wasn’t any English subtitles which made it difficult but was still enjoyable. Easy to spend an hour or two.

Looking at the worn outside shell of the aquarium I expected it to be likewise inside. The inside however is modern and inviting.

A real gem of a place, a must-visit. Not very large, but most absorbing, and very well maintained. The tank glass surfaces are constantly being wiped clean for crystal clear views of the beautiful and interesting fish to be found around the coast of the island.

When the weather is not so good, then it's a great idea to visit the aquarium. It was easy getting there and parking was also no problem. There is a lot to see, even if it is small. We spent quite a few hours here, inside and outside. The aquarium is situated on a small harbour with a few restaurants for a quick meal or two. A walk over the wooden bridge brings you to the beach, and more restaurants.

10 euros gets you in and its great to take the kids for a quick hour visit. There are also some nice restaurants at the port that you can sit and relax at after visiting the aquarium.

we visited the aquarium with our daughter but to be frank, we did not feel it was worth it. The place is very small and not much variety of things to see and experience.
