This isn't a five-star hotel, it's a budget hotel. So don't expect too much. Towels were clean and delivered at any time upon request. Didn't request room cleaning too much, just asked them to make it up once during my two-week stay.
Bathroom was a bit odd. Well, mine was anyways, I had a room with the single bed. The shower is directly connected to the toilet, meaning the whole bathroom floor gets soaked when you take a shower (which is also why I needed a dry towel every day) The shower needed a bit of tweaking to get hot water out of it, but in my experience with hotels that always seems to happen to me.
TV is an old model, of the CRT kind, so don't bother bringing thumb drives with your favorite shows. The satellite box did have a standard, wide range of channels available.
The Wi-Fi was okay. I was actually surprised, because I read in a lot of other reviews that the signal did not reach their room. Well, my single room was located right outside the lobby, near the front desk so I got reception from four different access points. At certain points, the speed was choppy though. Have no idea if it was due to a lot of people connecting or maybe their routers were on the fritz--did not bother calling the front desk to reset.
Room service was okay, I guess. A little pricey for the serving size, if you ask me. For example, a simple dish with one cup of rice, two pieces of chicken, some chili pepper garnish, and four cucumber slices costs you P120 while a regular can of juice costs less than P50 (grocery store price, between P20-30). What ticked me off though was the fact that one of the items on their menu was already "phased out" (term for taking it off the menu) for a month according to the girl I talked to on the phone, but it was still on all the menus. They didn't even bother putting a sticker on it to indicate it wasn't available. It was convenient that the restaurant was open 24/7 though.
Only once did I have the inconvenient experience of waiting freaking 20 minutes for a taxi--it was during rush hour though and I ended up taking one at the Fuente roundabout. If you take a taxi to this hotel, tell the driver it's on Mango Ave., near Fuente; they should know where it is then.
The staff was friendly and courteous despite a hickup they were very apologetic about.
The location of the hotel itself was great, right in the middle of downtown. Anything you'd need you can buy at the nearby mall and if it's late at night, there's a 7/11 a few steps away. If you're fond of nightlife, a short walk down the street will land you at the one of the city's bar and club areas. (but beware that many sex workers there have AIDS lol) There are also plenty of 24/7 restaurants nearby.
