Loved their sisig siopao. My son who doesn' eat siopao even liked it. He said it was delicious.

Their lobster ball laksa served with butchi is also a must try. Found it weird at first to see the latter but once I tasted it, the butchi and laksa really complimented each other.

The shrimp tempura was bland. Pink panda siopao was nothing special apart from the panda design.

Breakfast was so so. Would have loved to see staples such hotdogs, danggit and bacon.

A restaurant at its core is three things: menu, recipes, and execution.

The “Asian” menu looks as if it was selected by visiting other local restaurants and choosing whatever “Chef’s Favorite” they happened to find. ‘Caramelized Dilis ‘(way overpriced) sits proudly next to ‘Battered Sambal Eggs”. If “Indo Gyoza” is not your favorite, then try the “Gising Gising Gyoza”.

For your main course, try the “Asian Peri Chicken Thighs” – based on a South African staple - or “Imperial Egg Foo Yung”, born in American Chinese restaurants. Apparently “Asian Cuisine” is more of a state of mind than an actual physical location.

The recipes had all the creativity and originality of Googling “Asian Recipes” and picking those with three-stars – or less.

Cooking these fine dishes proves that perhaps a kitchen should not be staffed by unpaid or under paid OJT students from the nearest government culinary school. Apparently properly deep frying a Spring Roll will be taught next semester.

The breakfast buffet offered fried bangus that had the muddy taste of hito (catfish). When this was called to the attention of the chef on duty, he said that it was the fault of the supplier. Well, that is certainly an excellent excuse for serving food that was inedible.

The room is a mix of industrial grey, with lots of metal and ‘pink pandas’ that work great together. The serving staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar was extensive and low priced.

Am I being too critical? Probably. It would have been good to get someone else’s opinion. But at 8 pm on a Friday night, we were the only dinner customers.

We decided to go here after availing a voucher from Deal Grocer. We knew this restaurant is owned by Erwan Heussaff so somehow we dined in with high expectations.

Pink Panda generally serves Southeast Asian dishes. Here's what we tried:

1. Pho sho - Vietnamese rice noodles with beef, seafood balls, onions, coriander, bean sprouts and spring onions. This is a huge serving (good for 2) and very filling. Aside from the soup in the bowl, a tea pot was served as extra soup. The beef was soft. The seafood balls were tasty (and some of them looked colorful and cute lol) However, I found this dish lacking in taste. I was able to taste different phos locally and in Vietnam and sadly, it was only average.

2. Thai coconut beef curry rice - Dish composed of beef, tofu, eggplant, ginger, string beans with coconut cream sauce. This had a rich and creamy flavor. It came with white rice but served in a separate bowl. It was a good dish. It's something I might order again next time.

3. Sriracha Mousse - This dessert is to die for! It's one of the best desserts I've tasted for quite a while.

It was served with three crunchy bitter-tasting sticks on top that went well with the whipped cream. I forgot to ask what these sticks were but they tasted like dark chocolate with coffee. Under the whipped cream, I tasted the delicious dark chocolate mousse layer. It was spicy but not too much. Then the last layer is the crust that also tasted good! If you want to finish your dine in with a bang, don't miss this.

It looks modern but with a hint of Southeast Asian design. There are non las (traditional Vietnamese hat) and a bicycle hanging on the wall with a few Asian-inspired frames around. There are a number of seats inside, a bar, and if you wish to go al fresco, there's a little veranda also.

If you will make use of the comfort room, you have to go inside Y2 residences' lobby. It's only a short walk from the restaurant. The comfort room was clean.

Main dishes were served pretty fast however, the dessert took a while. I had to follow it up 2-3 times.

We have dined at Pink Panda on many occasions, have always enjoyed the food but the service has always been lacking. Tonight we were greeted enthusiastically at the door, and the service was very good, they were very attentive. It seemed that the servers got the training that was required. New management?? Keep it up. Anyways, we had the VC Springrolls and the Thai Beef Curry and both were very good. Definitely will come back.

You can always predict a service charge before the check arrives. The restarant was not busy when we visited but the service was terrible. The food was served luke warm at best. We ordered the chicken satay but were afraid to eat it because it did not seemed to be cooked to temperature.
