I was impressed by how the staff efficiently handled the little incident when I checked in. The hotel staff are the hotel's best asset. Though you could do well in spot-checking the decorative pillows as they kind of musty-smelling.

We booked a 2bdr suite to celebrate Mother's Day. The suite can accommodate up to 4 pax with no additional charges, but we requested for an extra bed and breakfast for a 5th person, which were subject to additional charges. On check-in, without us asking for anything, the lady at the reception told us that they're providing complimentary breakfast for the 5th guest because it was Mother's day. That was the 1st pleasant surprise of the day for us. However, when I was done filling up the check-in form, the lady asked if we could wait for 30-40 minutes, explaining that the suite was still being cleaned, but she offered to extend our check-out time in exchange. While I didn't protest, my partner wouldn't have it, countering that it was not acceptable for our room not to be ready at the 3pm check-in time. Before the lady could even respond, the manager on duty, who I didn't notice before that, immediately came forward from behind me, stood beside the lady, introduced himself to us as Francis, apologized, and without further ado, offered to upgrade us to a 3bdr suite that was already available. Now that was the biggest and best surprise! All that time, it seemed, he was just "lurking" nearby, preferring to be unobtrusive, but ready to address a potential guest issue if it came up. We didn't even have to explain ourselves to him. He obviously knew what was happening and just wanted to ensure we would immediately check in without any hassle. From then onwards, our family had a great time. The suite was beautiful, with all rooms having a view of Ayala Center and Ayala Avenue & Bonifacio Global City beyond that. The two smaller rooms were like stand-alone hotel deluxe rooms with their separate doors that led to en suite bathrooms and roomy closets. Each room must have been 35sqms in size. Needless to say, the master's was gorgeous and spacious. The bathroom was fitted with a double sink, a marble jacuzzi, a separate shower and a closed-in toilet, and the bedroom itself occupied the corner of the building. There was a powder room as you walk to the living and dining rooms. Behind the kitchen -- and this is not even described in the website -- there was a maid's room with a comfortable bed and its own bathroom and closet that almost looked just like the other bathrooms and closets. So the suite actually has 4 bedrooms and 4 and 1/2 baths! And there was nothing shabby about the suite at all. The carpeting, wall finishes, marble flooring, furniture, bathroom fixtures and beddings were all very tasteful and of a high quality.

Our Mother's Day celebration turned out to be much better than we were hoping for, thanks to the hotel, which by itself was a 5-star property, but even more to the duty manager, Mr. Francis, who rightfully believed letting guests wait beyond check-in time was not acceptable and immediately took action. Kudos too to the hotel for empowering its managers in that way. This hotel certainly aims to please the most demanding travelers.

P.S. We actually ended up here almost by default as we couldn't find a 5-star hotel in Manila that allows dogs and this was one of a couple that do. We were more than happy we did.

We were invited by guests of ascott hotel to spend some time w/ them and their hotel crew were very polite, attentive, accomodating & solicitious. It's No wonder they have a very good reputation when it.comes.to service.

Their sports facilities are also top notch. Special mention goes to their beautiful tennis court w/c was carpeted w/ blue and green artifical grass.

One thing though is the hassle of finding their exclusive parking spaces at the basement 3 level. It sure could use more directions and signs

Ascot makati hotel is consider one of the best hotels in makati with it's big rooms with all the facilities you can imagine , great swimming pool huge lobby quite in very noisy area with a beautiful view especially in upper floors

I really loved this place. It was much better than what I expected. There is a money exchange with great rates in the mall next to it. The room is big enough to make you feel like you're at home and not at a hotel.
