We stayed here for a night and although there’s not much else to do in Puno besides Lake Titicaca and Silustani, this place was so warm and comfortable that I wouldn’t have minded staying an extra night! For $55, we got what almost seemed like an apartment with two bathrooms, a small living room and a balcony. The view during sunset/ evening was stunning (you get a nice view of the church lit up). Location wise, it’s right by the plaza so you don’t miss out on anything.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful. They also stored our luggage for free whilst we went to the lake. Free coca tea (you’ll need it) and other teas were available in the lobby. The breakfast spread was better than expected - I was pleasantly surprised to see sausages!! Most importantly, this hotel provides oxygen tanks to help out with altitude sickness. I’d say this is the most one of the most crucial factors when deciding on a place in Puno, as the city is nearly 4000m above sea level and you’re bound to feel it (to varying degrees) no matter how strong you are. My girlfriend had breathing difficulties after a short hike on Amantani island (on Lake Titicaca), so the oxygen tank was vital in preventing further disaster.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Puno, looking for a comfortable and safe to rest.
