I stayed in this hotel for a night as I was on my way towards Redang Island.
The location of this hotel is pretty good considering it's just a stone's throw away from the Shahbandar Jetty. It is a very old looking hotel and some form of refurbishment would do it some good.
When my family and I arrived late in the evening, the bell boys were very helpful with helping us with our luggages and greeted us with warm smiles. The reception area was spacious considering how small the entrance looked.
We were attended to promptly at the check-in and I was pleased with the staff's service.
As we went up to the rooms, we asked the bell boy about places to get a decent meal. We wanted the local Nasi Dagang and he gladly told us of a shop nearby. His friendly personality and informativeness made us feel very much welcome to not only just the hotel, but Kuala Terengganu itself.
The rooms looked old, and in need of more lighting. Beds were comfortable enough for a good night's rest. The bathrooms were pretty narrow and old though. And my tap was leaking and its handle was kinda faulty.
The hotel had decent TV channels to provide my family with some entertainment that night.
Breakfast the next morning was alright. Nothing extraordinary so don't expect much. The only thing I was very unhappy about was the juice served. It tasted nothing like juice but sugar water.
I would recommend this hotel to people who are only stay for a night or two, or who are like me, making a stop for the night before heading to Redang the next day.
Restaurants around the hotel area are usually closed by 8pm. Parking at the hotel is free, which was a plus side, although they have the weirdest parking area I've seen. (Half the basement parking area is on a slope, so cars would be park tilted to one side)
